  4. Good article, another interesting tidbit I found on that page was in regards to the benefits of in-state scheduling:

  6. This is the caliber of player that can get you into the upper echelon of G5 in a hurry. Excited to see us going after this guy. Whether we land or not it tells me they are going after some difference makers that they have a legitimate shot to land.
  7. Bingo -- this guy is quite simply one of the best at picking up blitzes I have ever seen at the running back position. Will it be tougher in the NFL? Sure, but he has a huge jump on much of his competition in that particular regard.
  8. This is huge news. Texas is an elite program and will provide a great opportunity for us. Kudos to Karen for helping make this happen.
  9. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/jevin_pahinui_1037638.html LIsted at 6-4 297 (nice size) and a redshirt senior. Does anyone know of his injury and status? Can he play tackle? Need to get more production out of these juco guys on the line and just wondered if he might factor in. Do not see him listed anywhere in the this deep: http://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-depth-charts/depth-chart/north-texas/92660
  10. If we can consistently get 1000 to games/events I'm sure there will be an opportunity to expand. Never been a huge fan of track although I respect the sport. If we are going to do though -- let's do it right.
  11. Agree, appreciate their efforts, but I don't have a problem with the skepticism our fans have based on past appeals. Here's my issue, given the history should we have landed another juco olineman just in case?
  12. Good thread. Not sure how it will play out but Holy Kimoli I love the depth... I say you have to have Duffy in the starting lineup. He showed me a LOT at the tail end of the season. Also don’t count out the Russian according to my sources. This kind of reminds me of some of Johnny’s teams in that the issue is not talent but how to get enough minutes to everyone and maintain good chemistry and keep everyone happy. super excited about this season!
  13. Quite honestly it has been a huge problem for a long time. Most students at least in their freshman year would like to live on campus. The truth is very few are actually able to. If you want to ditch the "suitcase" college stigma you have to build dorms. Keep in mind, these could be public/private dorm partnerships so they do not have to be completely funded by the university.
  14. Agreed and I would say UAB may be the toughest of the 3.
  15. Yet I see all these teams like Missouri State in the baseball playoffs etc and can’t help but wonder how they can afford it? It is certainly being done at programs with lessor budgets than we have.
  16. I’ll just go ahead and state what everyone is thinking. If English can return as 75% of what he was we may step to the next level. It’s just the truth.
