North Texas should own the St.Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Dallas. It’s an event that is made for us. First, it’s the correct color. Almost everyone in the parade and watching the parade is wearing green. Second, it’s in our own backyard. We are the hometown university for the DFW so we don’t have to introduce ourselves to anyone. We’re on the heels of a Mean Geeen bowl win (?), and our championship men’s and women’s basketball is in the midst of another winning season. The Green Brigade should March, the cheerleaders should cheer and the North Texas Dancers should, well, dance. Why aren’t we involved, in charge of that is this easy event with high visibility ?? Good luck with that. The school can't even find enough effort for it's own Homecoming parade.4 points

Oh gosh. I grabbed a couple of tickets on Wednesday. Purchased them through UNT to do the green and white a solid. I guess 'Tier 3' means Toilet Level seating. Me and my guest will have an awesome view of the Tulsa band with these seats. Good grief. You know how you go to the Super Pit and inevitably someone is sitting in your seat when you get there? Yeah, I apologize in advance if I do it to one of you. I'm gonna be behind our bench like the women's games. GMG4 points

He was telling fans after the last home game he was good for Ft Worth.3 points

Yup he looked good running around vs Temple hopefully knocked some rust off and is ready to be a force tonight!3 points

Was told by a wise guy whose football knowledge I respect that O would have been more valuable to us prior to NIL. That said, he worked hard for us and I do wish him and his family well. GMG3 points

Man, Tulsa goes into tomorrow with back-to-back dubs over Shockers and Owls. In any other scenario, I'd feel good that we match up favorably with Tulsa, but they are coming in HOT. I hope our guys are amped for this! Don't be of a "just another day" mindset.3 points

I don't know if this is really that big of a loss. I was excited when he came on board, but I don't think the steak was as good as the sizzle.3 points

UNLV AD: We are a premier program and we can be a great power, so we need to hire a top end coach and pay him a huge salary Just a few months later--we need $$$ for a terrible contract we just issued UNLV short on funds to pay football coach Dan Mullen’s full contract | UNLV | Sports2 points

He looked fine against Temple last week so I think he should be good to go. We definitely need him!2 points

In the Maurice McAdow era, it was 100%. Most were candidates for higher level ensembles......including the Lab Bands. 120 members with 5 alternates, And they made as big a sound as our bloated 400+ GB.......and played at a much higher (quality wise) level. To give you one example, I was in attendance at NT/SMU (Hayden Fry era) game at Texas stadium. A time out was called and WHAM! the band broke into a very lively 40's era tune that they abbreviated to coincide with how long a time lasts. Here is the tune being played by the Les Brown orchestra...... It was the first time I had ever heard the tune so I didn't know the name of it. Well, a few years later I was listening to a station that featured Bid Band music. They started playing this Les Brown tune, and my first reaction was "oh, so that's the name of that tune". My second reaction was "Damn, they're playing it too slow......pick up the tempo". The North Texas Band's "time out" version was MUCH BETTER than the Les Brown version.2 points

I would love to see this. Tulsa is an easier path IMO, but you still have UAB and then Memphis. Our best advantage should be fans!! Get out and get loud!!2 points

Temple, UTSA, USF, and Charlotte odds to win...are off the chart (since they were eliminated yesterday)...2 points

man...the USA Today? what will business travelers staying at a Holiday Inn think of us over their continental breakfast and burned coffee??2 points

Is it lateral if: TX State goes to the PAC-Reboot with one other AAC Team that isn't us Memphis and USF go to the ACC UTEP is in Mountain West We're suddenly playing Sam Houston and Tarleton State in a combined AAC-USA? That's nightmare fuel for me, and seems entirely possible if Mosley keeps on Mosleying along with status quo.2 points

I love that one game at the AAC Tourney costs 80% of what season tickets cost behind the bench at The Pit. I know I ignored this email, but if I had bought the full tourney ticket, would it only have cost 1.5x the price of one game's ticket?2 points

I don't want to overlook anybody, but Tulsa looked like the worst team to step into The Pit this year. Texas Wesleyan could have beaten them. And tonight they did our dirty work by taking out Temple. Let's take care of business.2 points
-
My point was we may not play them because we don't get there OR because they don't. You can only play whoever is in front of you.2 points

I think you’re confusing serious UNT fans with people who are paying serious (not just casual) attention to NCAA basketball. There’s a difference in that direction as well. I’ll grant you history means something. But I’m not trying to pretend UNT is a blueblood. I’m just saying that we don’t have to match up with a bunch of name brand schools in order to be seen by people who know about basketball. Keep winning games playing within our identity, and people can’t help but notice. If we’re lucky enough to make a sweet 16 run, we get more casual fans to notice as well.2 points

Potential tournament run of Temple, UAB, then Memphis. If we win in that scenario, it would be an incredible run. Would love to stack that up against other 3-day tournament runs in our history.2 points

I’d take Tulsa’s OOC schedule in that same time frame you listed and play it here at UNT every day of the week. Sure, Charlotte may not be much more than us, but they’ve been to a Final Four in their history and used to be a damn good program in the original CUSA.2 points

If Utah State makes in it as well, we should advertise that to potential future OOC opponents. 100% of teams who beat us in OOC play make the big dance. That's how well playing us will prepare you! Want to make the tournament? Book your game with North Texas today!2 points
