When you lose to the community college in San Antonio, that should be an automatic firing

Comparing overall records of past coaches can be misleading. Compare Dickey’s non conference opponents to those non conference opponents of any coach since and It’s not even in the same universe. Yet from ‘01’ to 04’ he found a niche that worked in conference play. And he did it in possibly the most decrepit facility in FBS to recruit to for fractional pay compared to what the last three coaches have enjoyed. Rick

I don't know about you guys, but I've seen enough of Eric Morriss. He doesn't have it.

Drop Eric off at Incarnate Word. That's where he peaked as a head football coach.

Until Coach Keebler learns that the offense needs to complement the defense.....I'm not sure how much is gonna change. You can't constantly be going for it on 4th down. You need to play field position. You need to learn to "tilt the field" occasionally. You need to take 3 when it's available. So not sure that firing Caponi solves all our probs.

Am I a bad fan for just wanting the season to be over now? Is a minor bowl in mid December really worth the effort? I can't NOT watch, but I really don't want to see us play some MAC team in front of 500 people on a Wednesday afternoon.

I haven’t been to a game in a while and I’m probably not going to until we have a defensive minded staff in place. Air raid teams are soft rarely ever get too far. I’m not interested in spending my dollars on this nonsense when I can go to the Super Pit and enjoy watching a team that fights like hell. One that makes me proud to have graduated from the University of North Texas. This program does the complete opposite.

Before the season I figured we'd win only 6 or 7 games, but after the 5-1 start a six win season feels unacceptable (and I'm not even sure we'll win another).

Dodge, Littrell, Morris…all spread offenses that rarely lead to anything of matter here. Go back to DickeyBall and McCarney’s Bus drivers…at least the games end faster when you lose.

Conference Championship Game Appearance 2. 9 regular season wins and Bowl win. (With those 9 wins, a good close loss to a ranked P4 in a bowl might save you). Let him find an OC job in the P4.

I thought Seth called a terrible game tonight.

The defense was disastrous last night but stop with this "offense did enough to win" crap. A 3 and out and interception in the first 2 drives is not doing enough to win. Were it not for a defensive stop after the onside kick and a Porter 79 yard run, we'd have been down 21-0 and counting. Yes, the defense needs to do more but what high powered offense puts up 7 in a half? This team did the same crap last year. No offense in the first half and then when we put up garbage time points people say "look at the offense." The offense is bordering bad. Tulsa put up 46 on UTSA. Texas State put up 49 and even Rice put up 29. Just to show you where our "high powered offense" stands.

When will that signature win come, coach Morris? All I see are signature loses.

Defense gives up 700 yards to utsA. Who still keeps a DC around with that performance?

For years, we've been told by coaches and Athletic Directors, that every coach needs a 5 year contract. Otherwise, they can't recruit......because the kids want to know that the coach will be there for all of his/her playing career. In the day and age of The Portal....isn't the "it must be a 5 year contract" thing.....moot???

I hope EM has Colby Carthel on speed dial offering him the DC for next year. He recruits well to SFA, he could even better at UNT with its much better facilities

Agreed. Cobbs is legit. After losing his entire running back room, he took a transfer wide receiver and turned him into a beast. Porter was our offense tonight. If our other coaches were just half as good at their jobs as Cobb is, we'd have a conference title team.

As far as results... No. Getting curb stomped by an FCS at homecoming is still worse. But from a coaching standpoint... it was absolutely worse. Never in my life have I seen worse coaching at the college level, than the job Morris did in the first half. Just putrid.

Getting embarrassed, again, on national TV. To a lousy nutsak team. Their worst team since 2016 or 17 just demolished us. Wish I hadn’t seen that coming, but I have no faith in a team that plays defense as badly as we do. I can’t see us beating ECU. 6-6 at best.

Moriss does not seem to understand Defense at a Pop Werner level. Flat out embarrass the University again. If he does not have the courage to perform the hard parts (firings), he needs to go back to being a coordinator.

Morris needs to pack his bags. This is a very embarrassing loss. They are not that good.

I am not up to praise anything about the second half of this Mean Green season. When you bring back the absolute worse DC in the league and can’t capitalize off that defenses best performance all year you deserve to be fired. The offense gets big plays or gets stop. No sustained drives with a bad defense is just a recipe to lose exciting game by 7-10 points. I am tired of this program being stuck in the formula of STUPID.

I don't know if Morris will lose the team if we go on to lose this game, but I feel fairly confident that if he doesn't engineer a comeback win, he will lose our fan base. This sh!t is unacceptable.

I’m done with Eric morris. He just doesn’t know how to coach in the big leagues. You can see he’s just as lost out there as his team is.

We haven't improved since last year. Eric Morris is a cheaper version of Seth Littrell.
