What about defensively? I’m sure it’s mentioned somewhere else, but a few defensive plays were blown as well…Army possessed the ball damn near the whole 3rd quarter…imagine what a Mean Green defensive stop in the 3rd would have done for the outcome of the game…

Welp, Oregon beat #17 Baylor yesterday at home by 2 points, and they're now ranked #25 in the AP Poll. So I guess a win tomorrow would be a higher quality win than I thought coming into the season.

The 2-0 ladies deserve a game thread. After taking care of business against two D1 opponents this week, they travel to Eugene to play an Oregon Ducks team in what should be a winnable game. The Lady Ducks are 2-0 after wins over California Baptist and Nevada, but are coming off a season in which they finished last in the Pac-12 at 11-21, 2-16 and lost in the conference tournament to Colorado, 79-30. After SFA transfer Kyla Deck led the way against Alcorn State with 27 points, the ladies used a much more balanced effort yesterday to beat Texas Southern. Four were in double figures: Moore with 20, Wooten with 16, Hardaway with 15, and Lampkin with 11. The ladies play at a fast pace but still are too sloppy with the ball from what I picked up yesterday. This will be a great opportunity for a win against a power conference opponent.

Poor formation (shotgun) and poor playcalling....repeating the same poor call: up the middle when stuffed twice already. Chandler Morris could have easily faked the handoff and went around the edge. He has wheels.

JHC! We were already there. EM was supposed to get us over the hump immediately, not in 3 effin' years. That was the sales pitch to us. Any coach could sell you on a 3-year rebuild project, but he sold us on getting us to the "next level" from the get go, not by year 3. So, either he's a failed coach or a snake-oil salesman. I really wanted him to succeed. I was hoping his bluster was true and by his third year here he would have had so much success he would have been hired away. By the looks of it, he's just may not ready for the role and we may be facing a crash and burn scenario by year 3.

I suppose the reversed fumble didn't wind up hurting us since we sacked them on the next play....but that review and reversal was even worse to me. That crew very much reminded me of the TU crews in Austin. Now, if Army runs the table and lands a playoff spot, the extra payout to the conference will help soften the blow.

I watched a little of their game against Alabama last night. Very athletic team that was really always in the game. They were down by 11 at half, but outscored Bama by 3 in the second half to only lose by eight to the #2 team in the country.

I agreed with the process, not the execution. 99/100 times we score from that position so I'm not going to retroactively criticize a decision I agreed with in the moment. BUT how we don't have a QB sneak in the playbook is beyond me. All we had to do is get under center and get a single inch of a push. Giving Army a free 3-4 yards to get downhill by getting into shotgun in that scenario was absolutely a bad call.

I assume @NM Green believes we will win at least one of the next three, become bowl eligible and therefore have 4 more games.

Aaaaaand season over after a 1-0 loss to South Florida. 0-4-4 after winning the program's 400th win. Have no idea about his contract but hopefully Hedlund steps aside after 30 years and 400 wins. He has peaked.

The FBS record for ECU opponents is12-24. Their other win is against a 3-7 FCS opponent.

Got an email today they are offering season ticket holders 2 extra tickets in close proximity of their current seating for this game against ECU.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been much talk on here about this play. Not sure how many of you watched the game on TV, but I did. Watching the replay, I have no idea how the review refs could not see the ball break the plane before his knee went down. It looked pretty clear to me. A 10-7 lead there would have made a huge difference in the game. I know we all felt extremely confident in our offense scoring there (2nd & goal from the 1/4-yd line), but it didn’t happen, for whatever reasons. Massive miss there. Also the INT that was overturned by replay… another miss (**EDIT** not an INT, it was the fumble. I got legitimate turnovers conflated!), even though we wound up forcing the punt. All that said, the game was decided on the 2 INTs Morris threw in the end zone. He simply can’t throw those.

Army moved up 2 spots. Winning against North Texas brings great reward.

We knew this was going to be a tough stretch. I would have been happy if we had one of the three. We had our chances against Memphis and Army but shot ourselves in the foot. Friday night is going to be a huge game for us that we need to win. Not sure what to make of UTSA seeing that they beat Memphis but one thing is for sure, they are going to show up to play. We better be prepared.

The play was reviewed and they determined there was insufficient evidence to overturn the call. Had they ruled a TD in live play, I believe it would have also stood.

Parking situation is ridiculous. I got here an hour before kickoff.UNT needs to figure this out. Makes me want to stay home. that is all.

Agreed. You could clearly see the ball in hand cross before the knee hit the ground in my opinion. The only issue I can see is "the camera isn't exactly on the line." Game changing call but with 3 more downs from the 1, should it have mattered this much if the offense is truly elite? I don't know what's more frustrating: the call or that the offense was exposed? And to add, not only does the ball just need to break the plane, it can break it and then go back out. Live play is essentially ended once the plane is broken. Seeing where his body was and the video review shown on TV, I don't know how you don't rule that a touchdown.

Y'all, parking and walking situations suck across the board when crowds are good. It's just the way. All for constructive talk, though, that leads to improvements in flow.

I live in Denton. I always leave in time to pick our friends 90 minutes before kickoff. When we get to DATCU, it looks like nobody is coming. We park and walk to the stadium. We have learned what works and we follow the same procedure each game. No problems.

Well just like anything else, once space is sold, its sold. Cant just open it up and say well no one is using it. What happens when they sell those 100 spots then someone shows up that has already purchased the spot and now they dont have a space? I felt like they handed the parking situation about as well as they could have given the situation (lot closure due to condition, crowd size, etc).

We knew this 3-game stretch of Memphis, Tulane and Army would be tough. We lost by 8, 8 and 11 points. We are another year away (with better players and coaches).

This last game started with a whole lot of not being on the same page with each other. Too many passes that became turnovers when somebody zigged instead of zagged. The game changed when Aniyah Johnson went in and we started pressing. She created turnovers that led to easy baskets. Aniyah doesn't play a lot, but when she does there is usually an impact. She has a role and she does it well. It takes a mature player to play 4.5 minutes a game and be ready when called on. It was also interesting that Coach Burton put 5'10" Talley on their tallest girl and not 6'2" Lampkin. But, he was right. She fouled out without scoring a single point. It would be nice to get a win over a "name" opponent.

I’m with you, but Morris believed we’d need the 7 points. He did not believe we would stop them. He assumed a 7-6 game would turn to 14-6. Army shortens the game. We tried to, too. We had six offensive drives the entire game! Our 3 and out really crapped the bed yesterday.

Awful. Stevie Wonder could pick a better uniform combination.

My favorite is to watch Brackens rebound. Girl can jump out of the gym.
