Chandler Morris is currently ranked FIRST in the country in passing yards! He is over 100 yards ahead of Cam Ward. DT Sheffield is ranked 18th in the country in receiving yards! When was the last time we had the top passing QB in the country this far into the season? Can't remember if Mason Fine was ever ranked first. If we can just keep him healthy the rest of the way, he has a great chance to finish the year number one. None of the teams we have left on the schedule are great defensively and we all know that we have to score a ton of points to make up for the defense. Should be fun to watch.6 points

This will be three straight games on ESPN2 and five straight on linear television. Let's go and take advantage. I believe attendance will be greater for the Army game already across the board: alumni, students, opposing fans. I know we're pissed about the Tulane game but we've got an extra week to get the sour taste out. Going 2-2 on this Memphis/Tulane/Army/UTSA stretch would still be a lot better than last year's 0for on the Tulane/Memphis/UTSA/SMU gauntlet.5 points

When it's a position coach that posts about it....isn't it usually a player at that position? So I assume DL.5 points

if he plays 2 seasons and we accomplish something (AAC champ game or bowl victory), then I'm in favor. if not, then i'm not. i need something more than 'threw for a s-ton of yards' to get my vote.4 points

I remember the night game we had at Apogee when Fine was still here and we kicked a field goal with a few seconds left to win I believe 51- 49. I had my seat in section 208 row 2 and a number of Army fans around me were laughing because we were in our end of the field with about a minute tolay and I told them don't be too overconfident that we already beat UTSA like that and they said no way we would drive the field on them. After we scored and won as they were leaving I just looked and shook my head and one of them said. "Well you were correct". Let's do it again. One of these games we will come back at the end to score and win. I feel ESPN knows that also and we're banking on being here when we do. Go Green, beat Army.4 points

Not sure why Neal Brown is Wren's fault.....he didn't hire him. But like Jason said....one fan's opinion on "X" doesn't really mean much.3 points

Our university has over 46k students. 324k alumni in the DFW metro area, Denton has over 155k people living in the city, the entire Denton County has over 1 million residents, and we can get 130k to watch our Homecoming game against a regional opponent in Tulane on TV at 11:00 in the morning when the other regional CFB option on at the same time were OU and Ole Miss. IOW, no Texas, no Texas A&M, no LSU, no Texas Tech, no TCU, no Baylor, no Oklahoma State, no SMU, and no Arkansas on at the same time... That's apathy...and it's the absolute biggest rival we will always have here.3 points

If we get the continuity of a second Chandler Morris season, we are definitely poised to have an even greater year next year. Assuming a new DC and we just need a serviceable defense with that schedule to be in contention for the conference championship game. We will replace the WRs and RBs that inevitably leave, but it'd be nice to keep Sheffield.3 points

That’s incredible. I was concerned for Chandler’s health this year, but I think he’s been tough, at least from what I’ve seen. I worried about his throwing arm this past weekend but again, he came back strong. Congratulations and best wishes to Chandler Morris and the Mean Green.3 points

Not possible. We have no defense!3 points

Third time's a charm? Our only saving grace is that we're coming off of a bye week and have two full weeks to prepare for their offense. I'm hoping we can somehow scheme and have the defensive game of our lives. With that said, I'll believe it when I see it. I do expect a good crowd as well. Ranked opponent coming to town. National TV. And Army travels well.3 points

I went in thinking we could match-up well. I did not realize they were just a bigger, better team. They are. however, what I saw was a team that did not give up….there is no quit in this team. In past seasons, our teams would quit getting down early. We were in this game at the end….which is what you want to be. That gives me hope and encouragement. Tere are a lot on this board that hate on this team…I don’t get it…but be who you are. Not a problem this team does not quit, and for that, I am proud to support them. We will win more games this year than the majority predicted. We were picked 6th I believe. looking forward to the Army game. Come on out and support the team.2 points

Ok I know we are looking ahead but below is our home and away 2025 schedule. Home: Lamar,Washington State, South Alabama, Navy, Temple, USF, and UTSA. a very doable 6-1 or a 7-0. Away: Western Michigan, Army,Charlotte, Rice, and UAB. Possible 4- 1 or 5 -0. If we manage to keep our qtr back next year and we improve on Defense maybe 11 -1. Go Green2 points

Wren was adverse to firing anyone while at UNT, so now he is finding WVU actually wants accountability. Can not always just let contracts run out when firing should have happened2 points

I do think we should be compiling a database of NIL transfers and how things played out for them at their new destination. And I think it is fair game to share that data with the recruits and their parents. It seems to me that for most of them it is not always as advertised. My hope is that the new legislation will address agents and representation in the NIL/Portal process. There are some good ones who really help but sadly a lot of bad ones that are being highly compensated to over promise and under-deliver.2 points

Statistically speaking, Chandler is more accurate on the run outside the pocket than he is in the pocket. They've spoken about it on the broadcast several times.2 points

Sadly, they are the worst possible matchup for our defense. They are a physical running team. We have shown absolutely nothing to indicate that we will stop them. They will look at the Navy tape from last year and be prepared for us. I'm afraid they will score 50 and we will have to be perfect on offense to keep pace. We won't be perfect. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm probably not.2 points

I hope the fans learn that this team doesn’t give up. The fans give up and the stadium clears out. Tying the game in the end of the Tulane game was possible, but not many would have seen it. Reminds me of all the folks that missed The Drive against UTSA.2 points

I can understand recruiting to a defensive system. What I can't understand is not adapting the defensive game plan to the opposition. Zimmer last night had as many as 6 on the D line to stop the run and get to the qb quickly. I have never seen this D before, but it made alot of sense and I give credit to Zim for changing it up. The first half MEMPHIS was gashing us on the right side of the D line. 0 containment. Size probably played a major role as their pulling tight end was killing us. I promise you we will not be playing a 3 man front against Army so why did we play this kind of front against run teams. Why are we not putting in our biggest linebacker and have him run gap blitze every play? Alot of you guys are smarter on this please explain.1 point

“Offense kicked a field goal to make it 7-3. The next time they took the field it was 21-3.” That’s rough.1 point

he did something so egregious that he got kicked off the team and has no chance of returning....you really think he was smart with the initial money he was given? not a chance in hell1 point

Another dude that took the quick payday over the playing time. Hope these guys are being at least somewhat smart with this money. It’s getting sad. And this is just examples from UNT. Someone much more qualified and smarter than me is going to put together the numbers across college football and have a hell of a story.1 point
