Eric can gripe about attendance....but gotta say, he doesn't help things. The shitshow at TTech hurt our attendance at the Wyoming game. Losing to Memphis.....hurt our attendance today. And losing today......will hurt our attendance against Army. And btw.....his other Head Coaching job was at Incarnate Word.....where they averaged about 3,000 fans a game.

I don’t know what else better demonstrates the defense under Caponi than Tulane’s last drive before halftime. Coming off an interception and in a game where they’ve run the ball at will, the entire stadium and tv watching world KNOWS Tulane is going to run the ball. What do we do? We come out with 6 defensive backs. Obviously. Tulane runs two running plays that each go for over 20. Enough is enough.

We have a banged up offensive line and have had so many injuries at running back that next week we might start our largest cheerleader.Our defense is really poor and the amount of time they spend on the field just makes it worse. i realize that I am just stating the obvious but what the hell. I still think we will be bowl eligible this year so there's that.

We're not going to beat Army but if we can keep Morris from getting killed we will win our last three games and go 8-4. After last season, that is progress. Those of you who will cry that we didn't beat a winning team seem to forget that we only won 5 games last year and lost 77 players. We need to make a change at defensive coordinator next year and go after some size on that side of the ball. Not sure what people expected going into this season but I think 8-4 would be a damn good season. Who knows how many of our offensive players will leave in the portal. The playing field isn't level. Just get through the Army game healthy. UTSA is playing better. That will be the most important game of our season.

When Tulane's (or whoever's) offense is frequently given a short field, the blame for points given up doesn't lie on the defense alone.

We have the best 7 on 7 coach in the world. If football keeps taking the physical part of the game away and eventually does away with tackling, we might have something here. Until that day comes, we are nowhere close to a complete football team.

I'll go ahead and say this now: Kinda sorta playing better in the 2nd half (if it happens) is not a moral victory or any positive sign. It's just another massively disappointing loss.

Defense gave up 8 yards a play. 6 on the ground alone. We were never ever going to win that game no matter what the offense did.

The last 13 points were when the game was over. Those last 2 drives were like hitting a solo home run in the 8th down 9-1.

JM, But remember we're not supposed to question, only to do what is asked of us and be happy with the results we get. Seems, as of late, our athletic director wants to put more blame on the fan base than he does on the results on the field.

I don't question Morris's abilities on the offensive side of the ball, and at times, we make some incredible play calls, but then, at times, we make play calls that are hard to understand.
