This is consecutive weeks when our uniforms were green and white. I don’t have near the visceral response to black jerseys that some others do, but I really love that we’re sticking to the basics.

no, the CFP will make selections the evening of the Dec. 8th... so if it happens that both teams make it to the AAC championship game undefeated, the winner would most likely play in the playoff, then they would play in a meaningless matchup on Dec. 14th So the AAC championship game (Sat. Dec. 7th) could be Army - 29 (advances to CFP) Navy - 27 Then the following week Navy could win the rematch (Sat. Dec. 14th) 63-0 and Army would still go to the playoff... obviously this is all hypothetical, and there is still a TON of football to be played

Our game was also on the at the same time as Texas vs Georgia, the highest rated game of the season. There was also LSU vs. Arkansas, and a few other games.

Defense is so obviously the weak link...again...for this team. Time to end the experiment. It's the only way the team as a whole can improve "in all three phases"!

Caponi should have been let go after last season. Although I do agree, the defense is better since switching away from heavy use of the failed 3-3-5 system. The simple fact is that Caponi knew he'd need to build a stout/tough defense that could force offenses off the field and give the ball back to our high powered offense. He just kept trying to spoon feed us the 3-3-5, and still hasn't recruited the caliber of players it takes to compete with the best G programs. UNT has arguably the best G offense, paired with a below average G level defense. Caponi simply hasn't earned his salary as the highest paid defensive coordinator outside of the power conferences. I see no good reason to give him another contract. And if UNT goes and wins a bowl this season, I highly doubt it will be because his defense carries us to the victory. He needs to go.

No really surprising. ESPNU is not a good ratings channel to begin with. In week 5, USF v Tulane only drew 41k on the U and they weren't going up against a top 5 matchup I'm more interested to see this weeks numbers.

i'm not nearly as mad about him as others on the board... but at this point, i don't see any reason why you would bring him back unless they make great strides towards the end of the season. I guess i wouldn't be opposed to him coming back on a very reduced salary, but i highly doubt either party would agree to that

For an article with North Texas in the title, it doesn't really talk about North Texas very much

Last week was a big stage and we couldn't get it done. I would argue with this being at home and on a bigger ESPN station, this is an even bigger stage. Please!!! Let's win!!!! Defense, eat your Wheaties and drink your red bull and be on point!!

Even with an 11am game, there will be full stands on both sides. 50 passes is a bit too many, especially as @UNTcrazy727 mentioned he's only done that once in our almost air raid offense.

Agree, that's why I was saying there are plenty of good to decent opponents to pick from. Give me Duquesne, George Mason, WKU, Central Mich., Belmont, UNLV, Grand Canyon, etc. Solid mid to upper level teams from mid-major conferences. Just taking a guess, but those teams seem like a solid home and home that should be possible to make.
