It's my understanding it'll be the end of his contract, so he simply won't be renewed. "We fixed the glitch"11 points

Hey everyone, I've been trying to find ways to support the players via NIL, and one of the ways I am doing that is by hosting a sports card show, and bringing in some UNT players to sign autographs. The first athlete I've hired is Chandler Morris, and in addition to the money I'm paying him, the best way to support him is by having a great turnout and making him feel loved. So to that extent, you're all invited to be a part of that on November 16 from 2pm-3pm at Vista Ridge in Lewisville. You can get free tickets here by using the code UNT. Hope to see anyone who can make it there! JUST ADDED: DT Sheffield as well. I hope to see lots of local GMGers out there showing support!9 points

Going for it on 4th down in our own territory is not helping the defense. Putting them in some no win situations several times when could punt and play field position. Not all points are on the defense in my opinion.5 points

Some water company needs to sponsor Eric Morris! He can drink the $hit out of some water during press conferences.5 points

I’ve got 4 seats and a parking pass for Tulane, row 1 in section 104 and blue lot pass. No charge, just want them to get used.4 points

Well done, agree with others this to me is a proper way to do NIL, not some shady backroom deals4 points

Were you around for the 2007 Navy game? I could say the entire 2007 season, but that one game was especially bad and reminiscent of this past Saturday's defensive debacle. If not, have some mercy on those of us that were. Difference is that was year 1 of Dodge and Mendoza. Mendoza was gone after one year. We're living out this year what it would have been like to keep him around for another year.4 points

Youtube has a weekly American Athletic Conference show, and this week it features the UNT/Memphis game as well as our upcoming game against Tulane. UNT gets a lot of screen time and high praise for its nationally ranked offense.4 points

Of course it's a joke. I don't participate in the Eagles nest forum on this site. Have you seen that episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where they try to make a quick buck by taking money from each political party? Same logic here but for the NIL fund to keep our players. Now if this triggered you, yes I am an asshole, and you're overly sensitive.4 points

Thank you. Anything to keep from watching a Yankee-Dodger WS.4 points

Kid is likely a genius. Parlayed a good season at UNT to a paid backup role at maybe the best academic institution outside the Ivy League. Thought he had already graduated and was working on his first masters while he was here last year. He’s using the system to the fullest. No problem with that at all, and good on him.4 points

He took a bag of money and barely has to play. He knew he wasn't going to get a look at the NFL anyway. I was salty after he left but E. Morris has proven that he upgraded the position with C. Morris.4 points

He was just an expensive insurance policy. He was never going to beat out the returning starter. He will only play if the starter goes down but what a nice option to fall back on. I'm happy with the QB we have now!4 points

If we do I’ll give this coaching staff major props. And I’ll be fairly convinced we’ll ready to take a step….. hope you’re right3 points

This and I dislike the poll. Should we fire him today would be a valid poll. Not should we fire him at the end of the season. What if we have a miraculous 180 and become a top 10 defense the second half of the year...but I already voted to fire him. Guess he's gotta go cause I said so at mid-season. 🙂 The defense is bad. It's losing us games we should otherwise win. It's obvious to both the technical football film geeks, the completely unaware Swifty types, and pretty much anyone who just glances at a final score. No need for a poll. Something's gotta give.3 points

I don't see why the onside kick needed questioning when it was the failed 2-point conversion that forced us to need a TD.3 points

CUSA has fallen to hot garbage. LA Tech beat UTEP in the other game, 14-10. At the end of the game, the play-by-play guy said Cumbie/Walden will be "a coaching matchup to watch for years to come in Conference USA," though the schools will only share the league for one more year.3 points

But if we ignore him, he will get too lonely and drink bleach. Think about the how distraught his mommy would be. Do you want that on your conscious?3 points

Unless there’s just a massive improvement, I simply cannot see Caponi coming back. Morris will not get the next DC wrong. I have a feeling he’s going to knock it out of the park with the next DC. Obviously I’m hoping for the massive improvement, but you know…3 points

Past time for the DC to be sent packing.... I'm surprised Morris has let theses issues affect the team this long.3 points

Turned on the TV, saw these uniforms, watched about 5 minutes, decided SHS vs FIU wasn’t worth the torture of the uniforms. You’re wearing uniforms based on a TV show? Ugly uniforms to make it even worse.3 points

I will give you number 2, but if you have a top 15 offense IN THE NATION. I think complaining about that side of the ball is just nit picking. I know these are just stats, but if we had even a defense ranked in the top 80, we would be winning this conference. I know you said the others probably effect #2, I get that.3 points

The Frisco Bowl is garbage, and no one wants to play our bowl game at SMU. Our attendance at the two Frisco Bowls were terrible. The bowl feels small time and our attendance reflects that. We need to play somewhere else.3 points

From all indications the amount of money these players make especially as backups is a lot less than people think.2 points

It would be a different demographic of audience but Shane Porter has 1.2 million followers on TikTok. I would guess college age girls aren’t big into trading cards!😂2 points

It's a terrible game. 7-0 SHSU on a blocked punt. Might be 500 people in the stands.2 points

I would rather watch some random college game over most of the junk on TV these days.2 points

Of course your opinion is allowed, but criticism is also allowed. Given the current environment, I don't blame Sheffield for trying to get A LOCAL SPONSOR for his NIL. Dude's trying to get local business to use him for advertisements.2 points

I should have clarified that I was speaking about the home schedule, of those you mentioned only Oregon St. is at home. Evansville, Miss. Valley, and Houston Christian with all due respect all finished at the bottom of their conferences. Is it really that hard to get the likes of LA Tech, or NMSU here for a game?2 points

Unfortunately I live 1,500 miles away or I would be a season ticket holder. I'm just a big fan of our Mean Green, and we need to stop the excuses about getting teams to play us. It also reflects very poorly on the department, how can we be a serious school if we allow this type of thing to happen year after year?2 points

DT was just asking about NIL opportunities, maybe he can be involved too?2 points

He always does this when he's about to write an article on a particular player. He's looking for quotes he can use.2 points

I can't see the AAC fulfilling our bowl obligations as it is. The conference current has 9 programs with losing records. But given the choice, I'd much rather North Texas play in the Independence Bowl than endure another trip to Frisco or the First Responders at SMU.2 points
