I agree with the graphic... we might be the team at the absolute bottom of the discussion... but we are still in it7 points

Team is currently bottom 20 in the country in ppg allowed, ypg allowed. you and I have different definitions of "vastly".6 points

He is basically a whiny bitch. They made a huge mistake signing him to that big a contract.5 points

Going head to head with Oregon/Ohio st and Florida/Tennessee be thank you got that4 points

82K is pathetic. Those are ESPNU numbers. This is why I said we should have run a commercial in DFW all week leading up to the game. We can't build our brand if no one tunes in to see us play.4 points

I suppose that it is possible that we could get a rematch with Texas Tech in the National Championship game.4 points

I guess the obvious answer is that they expect us to beat Memphis Saturday. There really can be no other reason.😄4 points

We have a 4-18 record against them. We beat them in 1952, 1977, 1978, and 1980. We never beat them in the MVC days. In 1952, we were in the Gulf Coast Conference. In '77, '78, and '80, we were independent. We played them close the last two years, but found a way to lose. Two pick sixes and a last second touchdown have cost us two games. Close, but no win. They get to talk all the crap they want until we prove otherwise.4 points

Maybe they need to shut down their program every 10 years and spend a couple of years loading up with a bunch of 25 year olds?4 points

Just curious. And thinking he must sweat and/or urinate a lot with all that water passing through that little body.3 points

Problem this week is that Texas plays Georgia in Austin, TX the same time that we play Memphis..3 points

I know we’re entering the toughest part of our season, but this is a good graphic to be on midway through the year.3 points

The contract is unbelievable... He's making great money for a P5 coach for the next 7+ years... His contract will still be high if it matures... And this is in Texas, a low tax state and at UTSA, a low pressure job. He could still have two more seasons like this one before they try to find a reason to fire him for cause3 points

We really don’t have the luxury of dismissing any game this season. UTSA is going to be battle we can’t look past. We take this week by week. This one is a stout Memphis defense and running game. We saw FAU play a similar game and we fought like hell to win.3 points

Interesting stats -- they make UNT sound a lot hotter on offense than they *feel* when we're watching the games. It also points out the need to get rid of all vestiges of that 3-3-5 immediately.3 points

I like that we are flanked in the graphic by our peers, specifically Texas, Alabama, Wisconsin, LSU, and Nebraska.3 points

I would have fired Craponi after last season or the Tech game. I would fire him today. That being said, at least the adjustment was made to go to the 3-4 and have multiple looks instead of just throwing out the 3-3-5 not matter the personnel like last year. Not sure if it was Morris or the DC who made that call. If Morris, I will give him begrudging credit for that.3 points

The pessimism is due to the slow starts in the last couple of games and the perceived lack of preparation by the coaching staff to start the game and have the team ready. Not to mention the last defensive performance, continued stupid penalties (pulling 14 points off the board), and a history of getting kicked square in the nuts any time we have a chance to take the next step. Additionally, this is the best QB we have faced this year, not some scrub like the last three games. Need any more reasons?3 points

Lesson Traylor should have learned from Seth. Secure the bag when you can. UTSA is just seeing how volatile G5 “program building” is. It’s all about the QB. They benefited from it for a loooonnnggg time. Now they pay the piper.3 points

I know you have to beat the good teams to start showing you belong but it sure would be nice to have them for HC in two weeks instead of Tulane.2 points

Here's a pretty decent takedown of Dilfer: https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/trent-dilfer-inherited-an-ascending-uab-program-but-its-taken-him-less-than-two-years-to-crater-it/2 points

Fumbles are generated by being physical on defense. That we are not. We drag tackle and try to bump people down. At least we are gap sound for now and I'm happy about that. We can work on physical, but that is the primary reason we don't create turnovers.2 points

The dulcet tones of aztecskin doing the first 30-45 seconds (including the cool walk up song) will lead me to look for the "intro only" button. Kidding. I am MGNFL! GMG2 points

Nothing disrespectful about NTSU. Just not the current name. Embrace our heritage, not Memphis fan ignorance and stupidity.2 points

I am sorry, but the best way to earn respect is win games and games that matter and while people are watching. So let’s go win some games!2 points

Memphis will be a tough game, we don't need to be looking ahead and just handle the teams in front of us.2 points
