Do Trumps or Kamalas have a real plan regarding the deficit?4 points

I’m curious to learn if we were approached by the PAC to join prior to the decision of the “AAC 4” to re-commit to the conference. I know it’s moot, but could you speak on that? Some on this forum have mentioned we were approached but turned them down. And, if we were, should the admin have milked it like UTSA to gain attention? Lastly, do you have any clarification as to who decided to switch the defense to a 3-4…Morris, Caponi, players?4 points

This might be a long shot, but we are going to Portland for family vacation during the FAU game. Anyone in here live there and want to meet up and watch the game or know of any watching parties?3 points

I don't care who mandated the change in defense, but I'm glad it was finally done. This team is better for it, and is quickly moving up in perception. I believe the defense will only get stronger as they become more comfortable. Proud of the effort and results from Saturday against Tulsa.3 points

If things stay as they are in the AAC we come out better in all of this. These two conferences basically weakened each other.3 points

They have pills and treatments for that. You don't have to be ashamed, these things happen to lots of guys...most don't brag about it though.3 points

MWC commissioner Gloria Nevarez got her law degree from UC Berkeley and also is married to a Cal Berkeley lawyer. Apparently she's one tough cookie and with her father being of Mexican descent and her mother a mix between Filipina and Irish, I bet she puts up one helluva fight. This a fight for survival is also symbolic with the rest of the nation watching. Get your popcorn ready.3 points

Well according to Pete Thamel, that’s not happening. MWC should tell New Mexico to get over their feelings and invite NMSU.3 points

You gonna do another film breakdown for the last game? That was really interesting when you did TTU. Doesn’t have to be an hour long, just snippets of certain plays that has us going in the right direction.3 points

Last in the Big 12 but would still be on the top of the AAC in recruiting and attendance. We punched our ticket to the P4 already. UNT hasn't.3 points

A big statement is drawing more than 18k attendance for a 3-1 team.3 points

I feel like the MW is going to fight like it's their last breath to get the full amount agreed upon. These two conferences are basically at war with each other, there will be no concessions. The MW also has the luxury of time, as even if they don't have 8 teams in place when their teams leave, their 2 year exemption doesn't start until 2026.2 points

Yes, that is the plan. Just catching up on some honey-dos and also work, you know that goes. Also haha yeah I didn't mean that other one to be an hour-long I just got carried away. I have some cut-ups of the 3-4 looks against Wyoming and the Tulsa game. I do want to look at the offense, though but I mean it has been some standard bubble screens etc.2 points

You are correct, and we probably won't. However now, at least for football, looks like your ticket is for a nosebleed seat in the end zone.2 points

If you’re not in the SEC or BIG10 it doesn’t matter. P2 is still leaving you behind.2 points

I find it fairly humorous if they put student in the name when you know good and well that being a student will be the last thing on the mind of 95% of these players2 points

Come watch the Mean Green play from directly across the street from the UNT Frisco Campus at Wings Over Frisco Bar & Grill. Pick up some Mean Green swag and sign up for the half time drawing to possibly win UNT prizes. The game video and audio will be broadcast throughout the restaurant. $4 draft beer for anyone in UNT attire! #GoMeanGreen #UNTAlumni2 points

We play TCU on Friday while UNT's next game is against FAU. It's like trying to talk smack to me for lasting 8 seconds with Sofia Vegara in her prime while you're going 2 hours straight with a 2/10 from the bar at closing time.2 points

I'd much rather our play on the field do the talking. We have the opportunity to beat Memphis, Tulane, and UTSA this season. Let's seize the moment and the national pundits will do the talking. GMG.2 points

I don’t know what statement to make. “Tulane, Memphis, UTSA, and South Florida discussed the feasibility of a move to the PAC. We were not asked to be involved in any of those conversations. We remain committed to the AAC.”2 points

If we were having a good enough season to get game day, we absolutely would have a great crowd for the set2 points

Humble request to do something to increase your volume levels. Scares the pee out of me after listening to a MGN podcast and forgetting to turn my audio device of choice back down when it ended. Good content though, as always!2 points

I rustled @Aldo from his breakfast table to podcast about the game. https://open.substack.com/pub/meangreennation/p/228-dominate-the-golden-hurricane?r=du4qo&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true YT video later1 point

Word is that TSU said no to the MWC. Also none of the Montana and Dakota schools can afford to move up. The cost is $5 million plus 80 scholarships , NIL, and media market about the same as Wyoming. I would think Sac State would be the 1AA play . New Mexico State appears to be the last resort. Interesting times, but the MWC seems to be a step ahead of the PAC 7 although getting the ZAGGS is a great move for their basketball image.1 point

The AD should be selling shirts saying this or Mean Green 3:16. They would be best sellers. I don’t think any of those things are copyrighted so I don’t see what is stopping us.1 point

The local DFW media is just all in for both SMU and TCU to do well. I think it’s actually because so many are alums here of UNT, but it embarrasses them. The other day, for example, on the Ticket, with both George Dunham and Craig Miller listening to their guest, Brian Jones, the CBS Sports college guy they have on weekly, Jones called us North Texas State, as in Texas Tech murdered North Texas State. Neither of those guys even corrected it, just kept listening. Think of the average North Texas grad. They probably don’t even care or follow our teams. They probably loathe the existence of the program that they had to pay for as a student, which they are still paying on. If they like sports, they’re all in on some Power Team. And the ones in DFW have some dream that they wished of going somewhere like SMU or TCU. It is what it is…1 point

Let's agree to disagree . It worked well with my x-wife. In my opinion UNT is no more a Dallas home town team that it is in FT.Worth. If we were would the level of coverage that SMU and TCU get in their home towns.1 point

They have switched and scheduled UNT-Dallas instead.....more their level.1 point

Too bad the 75-76 squad was independent with no real opportunity to advance to the tournament. They would have knocked off at least two higher seeds. The 88 team was just happy to be there.1 point
