We are not a “real” D1 program. We just got skull drug by Texas Tech…not Alabama, not Oregon, not Clemson, we got beat down by a team that should have lost to Abilene Christian. Don’t let their performance against Caponi’s defense fool you, that is not some powerhouse we just lost to. Many of you think that NIL and the transfer portal have created a divide between the “big boys” and everyone else…we were well on the other side of that divide before NIL Memphis just put Florida State at 0-3…and, no, it doesn’t matter that Florida State is down right now, we would have lost to them by 30+ today. There is a reason people mention Memphis in realignment talks and not us. We may share a league, but we are not the same. It pains me to say all this, but nobody who isn’t on North Texas’ payroll could see things any differently.

I saw enough after two games last season. We didn't even fire the worst DC in the country after the season was over. Now we HIGHLY embarrass the University of North Texas with this pathetic display on national TV and I want no more excuses. Fire this coaching staff and get serious - stop wasting money and resources on people who are horrible at their jobs. Enough is enough.

Morris DC was terrible last year ..Morris kept him...he's terrible this year...a pure reflection on Morris and his leadership qualities..

I felt bad about this game all week. And thought we would lose....but not this bad. Maybe by 14 or so. And the reason I felt bad: Every time...I mean every time...North Texas does a special effort....like next week's effort to sell out DATCU......the team drops a King Kong sized turd.

This is the last that I will say on this topic. After that, I will remain quiet and if the moderators want to move it to a different area, I understand. For the three people who did not like my comment and want to be victims or encourage other Black people to be victims, go ahead. I refuse to be a victim and believe that all white people are bad when I know better. When I was in combat, white people watched my back like I watched theirs because we were American and color had nothing to do with it. This country is not as racist as you think it is. I don't like to go off on a tangent, but I have yet to meet a racist Mean Green fan in all of my 40 plus years of rooting for the Mean Green.

Any time we have momentum we shit the bed. It is so frustrating being a fan of this team.

Today is the perfect reason that our alumni, students, faculty, sports fans in the area, and the local sports media just flat out don’t care about us. When we do have a chance to gain their attention, 99% of the time, we crap the bed against a team that we need to compete with. This is not pointed at playing UT, OU, A&M, LSU, Bama, etc…it’s getting prison raped by SMU, UH, Tech, UTSA, etc…losing to Texas teams that people know and went to school at. UNT grads get embarrassed so badly to go to work, church, school, or anywhere that know we went to UNT and just laugh at us. For men especially, it just gets old, so they walk away. And rarely, if ever, come back.

It is in no way, shape, or form possible that this team and this defense is 4-1 in two weeks 😆

If you want more ammo on Morris and on how little he gives a shit about UNT: His radio show is at Rudy's from 6-7 on Thursdays. Week 1: He wasn't at the show......took the team to the women's soccer game. The soccer game started at 7.....but I guess he couldn't do both. Weeks 2-4: He does 30 minutes of the show...then leaves. DB always gives an excuse. But he doesn't leave the premises of Rudy's....he goes to another room and chats/eats with Dept. staffers. BTW...look up his contract. He makes $300,000 for a radio/TV stipend. So the little guy doesn't give a shit....just looks at us as a stepping stone. And if we had an AD with any balls....he'd telling the f'ing football coach to be at his radio show for the full hour.

Immense damage done to this program today at a critical time. Time to kill all PAC talk and get a win over Wyoming. Continue building this program for wins get bowl eligible and try to compete for AAC top of the league finishes. That’s still in our control and there is a lot of season left. we need to learn how to compete in the AAC from 1pm 9.14. GMG

It's not just one bad game. It will take many years to recover, perception wise, from this. It's like Portland State but with way more people in Texas paying attention.

Considering the timing, circumstances, opponent, state of the program, expectations? I don't think it's even close. This is light years worse than Dodge's first half.

That dampers my enthusiasm for this game quite a bit, wouldn't be surprised to see him go for 200+ but hopefully we score enough to keep up. Tech has had two awful performances I bet they bounce back in a big way today, won't change my opinion that we are still going to win 8 games this year, GMG!

I was there and he is right, Morris has WAY more resources and more talented players than Dodge had in game 1 of 2007. Dodge took over for a coach running an entirely different scheme and had to primarily use that coach’s players. Morris in year 2 with his entire coaching staff and chased off the old staff’s players. The job Morris is doing today is far worse than what Dodge did in his first game as a college head coach. This is atrocious for a coach who took over what Littrell left him.

This is really more like when Dodgeball had us lose to Rice 77-20, when Rice blatantly quit in the 4th quarter so as not to score anymore.

Well, this is embarrassing. And, please don't fall into this "Tech has Big XII talent" trap. They do, but they are not a good team. There are better teams than Tech in the AAC. North Texas is just awful.

He absolutely does not have distance. We have a "long FG kicker" on the roster. If you're calling your offense to a hash inside the 20 in the 2nd quarter, they shouldn't let you on the bus.
