Kudos to the SFA training staff for being so professional. They also were using their play call signs to block so no one could take pictures.19 points

2-0 doesn’t happen very often around here. I’ll take it, ugly or not.16 points

A 2-minute warning. Sorry but when you're at the stadium.....the number of 2-3 minute stoppages....is a lot already. You look down on the field...and they have a digital clock. (I guess for TV? not sure). But there are now 3.5 minutes of stoppage....between quarters. And it starts at 2:30 for every replay review. On most reviews you're watching at home....haven't you determined what happened....in less than a minute?? I think the first half last night...was about an hour and 45 minutes long. Baseball realized it needed to do things to speed things up some.....college football should too. Just my opinion.15 points

We don't usually go 2-0 to start the season. I don't care how easy this game may have been on paper - a W is a W.13 points

Again, big IF…but if we manage to pull one out in Lubbock…we come back to DATCU to a crowd of 29k+ on the 21st against Wyoming (Wyoming, by the way, just lost to Idaho)12 points

I sold and distributed orthopaedic implants for 30 years, and compound fractures are especially bad, especially to the lower leg. One of the major concerns is infection, because normally this type of traumatic injury is "dirty" . Another is blood flow to the affected area, which if disrupted could make healing the wound and obtaining union with the fragmented bones problematic. He needs all the prayers we can muster.11 points

The defense has played amazing all things considered, we've thrown a pick six, had two other turnovers and tons of penalties. We are going to win and no one is going to remember this game 3 weeks from now, stay positive people. GMG!11 points

Some perspective on the defense for those calling it bad... without the turnovers to put SFA in scoring position, our guys held them to 7 points, forced 5 turnovers on downs, and 5 drives went 3-and-out. I wish the tackling had been better at times but considering run defense was our weakness last year, I think I'll take holding them to 2.2 yards per rushing attempt. Some more perspective... some FCS teams can be pretty good or at least play some good first halves. If you tuned in to #18 LSU vs Nicholls State in the 3rd quarter, you'd have seen a close 23-21 game. If you turned to #22 Arizona vs Northern Arizona at the start of the 4th, you'd have seen a 13-10 game. Last year's G5 darlings that are James Madison struggled to beat Gardner-Webb in a 13-6 game. We got the win. It wasn't easy. We're also missing some pieces on the offensive line so that needs to be cleaned up. At the end of the day we're 2-0 which is rare around here. Let's enjoy it a bit.10 points

Well, this is great to see. I still don't understand why something like this wasn't organized by the Talons years ago.9 points

Should have just batted it away considering it was fourth down. Cost us 40 yards.9 points

I hate to tell you this but a lot of teams go through BS every week. Including multiple top ten teams. We play to our potential and the next two games are winnable.9 points

I've been a harsh critic of the defense, but they really kept us in the game during the early plays where the game had a chance to get away from us. Offense were much more the problem this time, too many turnovers and mistakes. Let's hope they clean it up because we looked like a completely different team on offense today.8 points

These shirts were being given out last night. Between these and the Yeti’s, I think it’s safe to say we see the flying worm uniforms this year. Wonder if they’re going to be changed up, or the same as last time. I hope we get those sweet polos for sale again! I regret being cheap those 4-5 years ago.7 points

The mistakes we saw tonight are fixable. Last years defense was not until it was overhauled. I think we're going to be OK.7 points

I get the idea, but I think it’s better that we just focus on our own current players. Big game this week! GMG!6 points

Such a horrible screeching halt to a young man's wonderful night. The guy goes from having a great game, including an awesome kick return, only to have it likely end his season in an instant. I'm still confused by where the ball was placed after the injury stoppage. It was about 20 yards back up the field from where he was hurt. Was he ruled out of bounds earlier? If so, why wasn't this a late hit? Did he simply get accidentally fallen on? (I haven't seen a replay of the return and mostly missed how the injury happened in real time.)6 points

4 turnovers to 1. And, they won the game by 15 points. This was the perfect game to make all those mistakes. I bet they play a much better game against Tech next week.6 points

We were nearly Carthel’d. That’s why guys like @SilverEagle @SUMG and myself wanted his daddy Don instead of McCarney. We would have gotten a two fer before Colby eventually won a natty at A@M Commerce. Those dudes can coach! Rick5 points

Couple thoughts 1) good crowd 2) the chandler Morris story sort of feels like an early 90s disney-esque teen comedy where the rich kid gets caught doing something disgraceful and is forced to lead the rag-tag public school kids to a championship. 3) let him throw deep 4) am I the only white guy under 45 who thinks the killers suck5 points

It is sad how many people who are UNT grads have stopped watching or caring about UNT football. Sadly, it's hard to blame them after the products we put on the field year after year.5 points
