I don’t get the Vito hate. He has to cover a program that has not exactly done a whole lot to be positive about. And he reports for a town that mostly acts like UNT Athletics doesn’t exist.

What's wrong with Wesloski starting? I thought he was pretty solid last year for a RS Freshman. Finished 3rd in tackles.

The thing that gives me hope with Eric Morris and the QB position... We saw what a QB with experience coming into this offense can do last season. Now we have the same situation but with a QB that was even higher rated and that experience is against Big 12 competition. Building off last years QB play with even better QB play and just a little bit better defense and we could be in for something really good this year....

I like Vito; I like a fresh voice once in a while. At times, Vito seems dark and down on North Texas.

If you could go by how these teams were last year there would be some interesting and tight matchups. Have no idea about this year. Interesting that Florida State had a DL of much talked about transfers and they got worked over by Georgia Tech. Some of these P5s might be easier to pick off the first couple of games.

If you didn't pay for it, i.e. HBO, Skinemax, Showtime, it would show a completely jumbled screen. But you could park the dial "between" channels and the channel would come in clear as glass. D2 Transfer has played a lot of football. The guy behind the 5'8 165 Safety is 6'0 200 pounds and played at North Shore. I'm not too concerned about the secondary yet. Give me a few weeks and I'll tell you if that changes lol.

From all reports, Jayden Hill is going to have a great season! Maizen Richard’s was also a D2 transfer and he was pretty good for us. Spiruells should be good, too. He was forced to start due to Isheem Young, our P4 transfer, getting injured. I don’t think this is the same old story again.

Considering he didn't start the season if we get equal QB play this year I'll be very happy. Rogers' last year was basically equal to each of FIne's last two years. The winning formula for this year is the offense to stay the same and the defense cut off seven ppg and get a few more turnovers. Both are pretty good-sized asks. I agree, we looked terrible to start last season. But, I think Morris has too much pride to field another team that will start that bad again. And, USA is breaking in a new coach.

The Heath Science center in Fort Worth is not a real medical school. We don't graduate surgeons and operate a working hospital.

They didn’t drop us from their schedule. Our 10 year deal was voided when we joined the AAC because we were now conference mates. Then, when they joined the ACC, their schedule was already filled out for years down the road. The only team that ran from their opponent was tcu against smu. I HATE smut, but we can’t blame them for the scheduling stuff this time.

Our basketball, as good as we think it is or could be, would never get to the level of us being a P4 basketball-only invite. Cincy and Houston both had some really good basketball teams over the years, yet it was their combined good football, and locations, that won them invites to the Big12. They would not have been basketball-only invites either. An overall good athletic program (especially football) is the best formula for any move up potential to the P4. Otherwise, I am intrigued by the P2, best of the MWC and best of the AAC combination. I would hope we could be a part of that conversation if it shows potential. If not, then lets work on stealing Air Force and Colo. St to the AAC!

I heard Blair hurt his ACL in he last game of last year and is one schedule to return in a couple of games. No idea on Evans
