Things are very quiet rn for UNT but I don't see that as a bad thing. Hoping it just means the team is working out smoothly, as you should in the offseason. Every other day we see a Georgia football player being arrested so maybe we're lucky to be so incognito lol

Not at all. It's crickets coming out of the football program/athletic department. Might be designed, but who are we kidding.

I will identify myself. I down voted @Big Z. I think I may be more tired of the early doomsday complaints than NIL.

AFAIK, we only have two scholarship QBs on our roster--one of those has been very injury-prone throughout his career, the other is a true freshman. An addition like this was absolutely necessary.

No new is good news... That said, this program has a lot riding on this first game, in my opinion this is a must win game. Morris has had plenty of time to asses this teams needs, over a full year of recruiting, he should have the team he wants and in position to win this season. If Morris is indeed the right man to lead this program then he will prove it with this game. A week 1 loss and this team is heading for disaster, probably looking at a 1-4 start, and then the schedule gets hard!

We haven't started fall camp yet. Which I believe starts Wednesday. Maybe some of that uncertainty will figure itself out here soon.

This is one of the very rare boards that "hides" the voter's information. I asked the question a while back and was answered that there was a concern that some people might not participate if it was known, and this would potentially impact "clicks."

This is why you should support the school more than the individual players. I'm to the point now where I would be OK with no names on the backs of the jerseys; identify them by their numbers.

I feel uncertain too. No news on the athletic center expansion. No breaking stories about anything. I want to be positive. I even pick up an additional season ticket for this year. The defense still scares the crap out of me. Until we see some improvement in an actual game, it's hard not to have concerns. But my biggest concern is if we got better mercenaries than the other teams in our conférence. I truly believe that the program that won the portal Olympics in the off-season, will win the conference and earn that first G5 playoff spot. Right now, my money is on Memphis.

Both teams have unknowns....at this point a toss. This needs to be a win for Morris to shut down doubters like me.

They return the QB who won their bowl game last year. So he's had experience and success with his teammates. Not sure how different Applewhite's system is going to be from what they were running last year.

This is exactly what it is. Every rule/policy being implemented helps the well to do programs, and we have UNT people coming on here, all drooling at the mouth and what not, agreeing with the complete destruction of collegiate athletics.
