You guys can hate Biden all you want (I am not a huge fan either) but please take a minute to understand this 81 year old just served 4 years in the worst, most difficult job in the country. His ability to withdraw is noble, and I wish him a peaceful remainder of his life. Politics aside.5 points

Not sure Biden has been capable of doing much for a long time. The question is how much more damage can be done by the unnamed people, who have been making the decisions for years. With Harris at the helm, there is a danger that she will actually make some independent decisions.4 points

I heard she’s gonna try to make abortions available up to 36 weeks after pregnancy. Interesting 🤔3 points

By that logic, we shouldn't support schools. If you don't have kids, why support public education? It's up to parents only to ensure America's education. Or roads. Can't be paying taxes for roads you don't drive on. Government? I don't like it. Ain't paying taxes. Public parks? Not my problem. FDA cost to support safe food and medicine? I didn't eat it. Someone else should eat the cost. That's a very large hill to die upon. Understandably, somethings you should not have to pay for. If I drunk drive into someone, that's on me. But Healthcare and common decency to other humans is too far, then that's a problem for us2 points

Or how about don’t get pregnant. If you’re seeking an abortion then it obviously wasn’t a planned pregnancy, so I don’t see what maternity leave, health care, etc have to do with it.2 points

It wouldn't surprise me since she already supports "partial-birth abortions" up to several hours after birth. The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act defines a partial-birth abortion as when a person intentionally delivers a living fetus vaginally until part of it is outside the mother's body, and then performs an act to kill the fetus. For example, if the fetus is head-first, the entire head must be outside the mother's body before the act is performed. If the fetus is breech, any part of its trunk past the navel must be outside the body. The act that kills the fetus must be something other than completing the delivery.2 points

Who isn’t getting cared for? Our system has its weaknesses, but I work for a healthcare system that is county owned and they aren’t turning folks away. Who isn’t giving maternity leave? How much time should the mother receive off in your opinion? There are affordable options. Anybody overcharging should be arrested. A family member of mine takes medication. I picked up two refills the other day and it was less than $4. What do you consider “a living wage”? $15-$20 an hour minimum wage is not sustainable and will lead to job cuts. What infrastructure, that term covers a wide array of things, do you feel is needed? Better public schools? 100% agree. Curious how you feel about CA laws about not informing parents of certain “decisions” of their children.2 points

I don't view Wyoming as a toss up. Maybe on paper, but expect our high powered offense with an assist from the September heat, to pull away in the second half. If we can't beat Wyoming at home in September, it's going to a long season. I think we finish 7-5 with wans against USA, SFA, Wyoming, Tulsa, Army, ECU, & Temple. I base this prediction on us fielding moderately better defense this season. I figure they can't mathematically be worse than last year.2 points
-
I too believe we’ve got a shot to beat South Alabama, but keep in mind that they are a team that had a blowout win against Oklahoma State in Stillwater last year and had another dominating win in their bowl game. So they aren’t a pushover and losing to them is not like losing to Sun Belt teams of the past. My hope is that they are off to a shaky start in their first season under Major Applewhite and that we can play the kind of offense we did last year without skipping a bit while having a defense that is improved just enough.2 points

No. It was the right thing to do at the start of the year. You know, before our democratic processes started in March. After winning the primaries voted on by the people, it is now the wrong thing to do. Timing matters. Stay in and take your L. Now, he (and the entire democrat establishment) is simply nullifying our processes and allowing an appointee to take the L.2 points

I'll give you that, I have misinterpreted the idea behind the post. There are a lot of breakthrough babies and accidental babies. Hell, I'm one of them and I'm glad my parents didn't take the old "texas clothes hanger" to me. But if we had proper Healthcare support to handle those Bob Ross happy accidents, this would be much less an issue. The Healthcare aspect is, if fathers didn't have to stress about taking a month off work to support a post partum mother, or single moms in bad situations didn't have to worry about a 20k delivery bill, we would all be better for it. Yes people should be careful. People are also raging chemical factories. It happens, and we should take better care of it. Because if we don't have babies, we are gonna need more immigrants.1 point

I feel like you are pro-morefreeshit than anything else. It's not the job of the government to provide for children. It's also not the governments job to pay for abortions. But, also, where can women NOT get abortions? Have I missed something? Also, we're still ignoring the premise of the democrats squatting down and taking a shit on dEmOcRaCy....1 point

Thing is... I don't even support abortion except in the most extreme cases of life and death for both. I just don't think wealthy old nearly senile white men should be making the policies of choice for them. Today was a win for America. We are finally looking at candidates who can step outside of the tiny political box we had on both sides and start caring about the future again. I'm not a Kamala fan, but she's still better than both of our previous options. I personally cannot wait for the next debate. 18 year Macallan is getting another dram poured. So, hell yeah America. Let's go!1 point

until you support universal health care, mandatory maternity/paternity leave, affordable access to child care, affordable access to prescription drugs, a living wage, and all of the infrastructure needed to raise a child you don't get to call yourself "pro-life".1 point

I don't normally put a lot of weight into the first game, but with this schedule, the first game is very important to how the season will go. A win at South Alabama would lead me to believe that this is a 6 win team. However a loss would be detrimental, and would likely lead to a 1-3 start, in which case I think you would have to make a coaching change.1 point

Obviously last year wasn’t great, but I think it would have been even worse under the old regime. I like Littrell and I’m thankful that he raised the bar for what is now acceptable, but I can’t help but think we would have lost to Memphis, UTSA, and Tulane by 21+ points. Those games very likely demoralizing. I think that we probably would have beaten FIU, but possibly lost to Tulsa and/or UAB. Yes, worse record, but more difficult schedule (especially considering the gauntlet 4 game stretch of conference) and we were competitive in all games…though the 2nd halves against Cal and SMU were bad.1 point
