So, we lost by 3 points and 4 points to a #8 seed, and by 5 points to a #12 seed. I think we are competing on a good level and can beat any of these teams on any given day.7 points

Morris has been seen visiting practices in Denton. Let's tap the breaks on this "he wants to join his dad" stuff.6 points

I can understand trying to avoid FAU, or even Memphis but every team can present a match-up problem. We've been undersized all year, but we present our own match-up problems too (Edwards, CJ in the post). If RJ and Scott can stay out of foul trouble, we can make a run. Defense is our identity and those two are the heartbeat.4 points

Wrong- we are a good team that can win this thing! The odds are against us but we need to remember our roots (Defense) and hang our hat there. It is an up hill battle but we can do it.3 points

That would be awesome, but I bet the NIT only takes two teams from the AAC. Memphis, SMU, UAB, and Charlotte all have better resumés. Maybe a run to conference title game would do it.3 points

You say “rejoins his dad,” but when was the last time he played where his dad coached? But, yeah, why start a new thread on this topic?3 points

A run is winning 3 games, which means making the championship game. Won’t be easy, but we’re healthy now.2 points

If we miss out on the other two tournaments, then yes. Yes to any postseason basketball. Try to raise a banner every year.2 points

Great take after one year and a late start on first year recruiting. I think I will hold the coach damnation until I see one more season. By the way who was your choice for the job that NT had any chance of hiring?2 points

I can't stand the mentality of "let's avoid this team, etc" especially a team with 5 conference wins. I guarantee you the coaches and players don't care. Just win the game and advance.2 points

Regardless of what happens in the Big 12 tournament, I think its safe to say we locked up the #1 overall seed. Of course having a 20 point halftime lead on Kansas helps too.1 point

At the first football game a couple of years ago it worked. It was set at a low angle and it was highly pressurized ( or something). The shirts fired out like rockets! It legit could have hurt someone (like a bruise, not decapitated). After every shot, you could hear the whoosh of the shot and the gasps from the crowd. The rest of the season, I would brace myself, but it never happened again. I still laugh about it every so often. 😂1 point

You are right. Effort is the wrong word. Execution fits better. And if something doesn't work, why use it in production? Failure happens "on stage", but the amount of times this doesn't work tells me this is lack of effort to fix the problem than just a one time thing. Funny this is a discussion too. We need the tournament to start. For the record, I love it.1 point

I don’t think he called either pathetic. Now, if they didn’t properly test it to learn how to use it and to work out any issues with the equipment, then the failure is on them.1 point
-
Not really calling the sponsor pathetic, but if you get a F on an exam, would you characterize your effort as pathetic? I would.1 point

I have already said this. Grant won the CBI his first season. That would be a great accomplishment for this team. Honestly, I don't even want to go to the NCAA. NIT or CBI.1 point

Both he and Tyran Mason (our other signee) can definitely score the basketball. If that translates to the college game, we may see a more potent offense in a few years.1 point

Morris is still planing on being here in the fall practice. All indications are he is not leaving anytime soon.1 point

What makes you think Chandler not coming? Right now Stone is getting most of the 1st team reps. Cash is getting most 2nd team reps and some 1st team. Reese is mainly 3rd team reps right now.1 point

I say just win though. I have no idea what the tiebreaker is for a multi-team stalemate. The five bottom teams (Wichita State, Rice, UTSA, Temple, and Tulane) could all finish 5-13 if Tulane beats Wichita at home, we beat Rice, and Temple wins in San Antonio but loses at home to UAB. I would just like to avoid Wichita State out of bias for their history, and Tulane because I don't want to have to beat someone three times.1 point

It really doesn't make sense to me. How hard is it to take it to a field and test it so you can fix it. Kinda sad for a Tier 1 university....1 point

i would agree with you, but UNT has beaten UTEP and Rice over the past few years consistently and Sam Houston is... not good.1 point

1. If you are counting on other teams to fill your stadium then you are SMU. 2. Wyoming is a very good team and a measuring stick for where we are as a program. They were 9-4 last year! 3. You need to beat upper-level Mid-majors if you want to start establishing a foundation to build on.1 point
