Offense scored 40+, defense allowed only 14. Even if its one of the lower teams in the conference this season, can't expect much more from a game against a conference opponent,16 points

Reading this thread without score updates, you would have thought UNT won by 78 points

For all the ragging on this defense... so far it has shut out Temple in the second half and now just gotten another turnover. Temple may not be good, but it is still that.7 points

In a kind gesture from ESPNU, camera operators have been honoring Crowd-Avoidance Shots. Glad they understand our fans don't really travel well...from Ft. Worth, Dallas, the dorms.7 points

Maybe this defense made Stone look all-world during the Spring. I can see how he must’ve been deceived6 points

We won. Defense showed up, when needed. No further questions.5 points

My take is that some of our fans are so programmed to bitch, piss, and moan that they can’t enjoy ANY win. Lose to a superior opponent? “Why do we play these games?! We’re so unmatched and the coaches didn’t have us prepared!” Lose to an evenly matched opponent? “Fire the coaches! Our recruiting is horrible and last year we signed a bunch of kids nobody else wanted…oh, they had some P5 offers? Well, those offers must have been expired because the P5 coaches know what I know…the kids are terrible” Win against evenly matched teams? “They had injuries! They played horribly! We didn’t win as much as they lost….and I will conveniently forget that I predicted that same horrible team to run us off the field”5 points

Good win. The offense rolled over Temple and the defense came to the party, getting three INTs and holding them scoreless for the last 38 minutes of the game. Let's play like this against Tulane. I always get them and Temple confused and maybe our players do too.5 points

I’d hate to see some of you guys in your normal lives. ”I know she said we could go back to her place later, but we need to be in her bedroom NOW!! If we don’t have the killer instinct, we shouldn’t be on this date!” “Granted, more qualified applicants didn’t interview…and I totally COULD HAVE bombed this…but I guess I’ll take the job”5 points

The more Rodgers plays the more I question Morris for not starting him to begin the season.5 points

This 3-3 front blows ass. Temple is walking through the DL at the line of scrimmage. Zero push at the point of attack.5 points

That is a very good point. I am one of the biggest critics of this defense, but comon guys, you can't ask much more. Defense holds to 2 scores and offense racked it up. You guys would probably complain about playing early on a nationally televised game. Oh wait....4 points

Great win by NT, great D today making stops and forcing turnovers. a well balanced offense that could run and throw. There's not much more you could ask for4 points

Yes, it was the backup QB but they tried running it down our throats and we made big plays when needed. Proud of the defense today.4 points

Really good showing by the team. I know Temple is down right now, but this is a great win vs. a conference opponent. Let's hope this is the start of a season turn around because the real meat of the schedule is coming up.4 points

Nice win for the team. Temple’s backup QB wasn’t good, but I don’t think Warner playing would have made a difference. Temple is a pretty bad team this year and we dominated them holistically as we should have.4 points

Just a solid fun win against a pretty out of shape opponent. Defense will still get sliced up by good teams, but they never quit either, so cheers to that. Maclin is a monster, we gotta find a way to keep him next year. Hope we continue this momentum with Tulane.4 points

I will tell you what… if I am a student fan group who wants my team to succeed, I too want to set off a really loud cannon right in front of them to permanently damage their ears. bold strategy cotton.4 points

It does seem to be the one constant, year after year after year. You’d think that with the constant turn-over in students and a new “largest freshman class ever” coming in every year, we’d eventually break through and become an excited fan base that supports the team no matter what, but it just never happens. It’s like some invisible apathy torch handed down from one class to the next. The cycle never breaks. Early season losses/poor showings kill us. We need to start 5-0 or better every year to keep fans (and students) coming out. We saw glimpses of what could be until that stupid blocked FG at the end of the LaTech game.3 points

If there were much over 6000 actual people in the stadium, I would be very surprised.3 points

I'm not going to talk bad about the defense, but I'm not giving them credit either. That was one of the worse quarterbacks I've seen play college ball. I give them more credit for last week's game. I'll take the win though....might be the last one we see for a long time.3 points

"What game started Eric Morris' record-breaking 27-game conference winning streak at UNT?"3 points

I will give them credit for the game today. They played very well in the second half.3 points

I’m sick of the teases! When is Stone Cold going to come out on his four wheeler flying down the field and span the breaks to smash some bears and throw them down mid field! Enough teasing and make it happen UNT!3 points

The three-man front continues when we know they will run on most play. Hard to understand.3 points

Really poor offensive series. We could have put it away3 points

At this point, we know what Caponi brings. Morris will not get rid of him during the season, but if he is still here after the season, then Morris needs to go.3 points

This is great news! I was looking for some yesterday because I assumed the athletic department would miss the ball on this. This year's "game activities" have been improved, with the concerts, drone show and to an extent, the glasses. Golf clap for the whomever is in charge of this. Now, if we could get them to stop douchebaging up the North Texas chant I'll be almost content. 🙂3 points

They are all must wins in terms of building the program, building the fanbase, student attendance, fundraising, recruiting, player retention, etc.3 points

Hey peeps! So I helped my kids and their mom move back this summer so my eldest son would be eligible to apply for TAMS. I'm getting things settled here in AZ before I follow, and I have 2 jobs that I can transfer there with, but neither has any guarantee of hours or income. So I'm looking for something full time that I can either start here and transfer there or that is remote that I can do anywhere anyway. I'm open to other ideas as well; those options just seemed the easiest to make a transition with. I'm open to any reasonable leads. I have a background in quite a few areas, but most recently I've been teaching/tutoring for Sylvan (including ACT/SAT prep and college prep) and various entertainment gigs (performing, scheduling, hosting, karaoke, DJ, pretty much everything). I'm able to provide resume and references. I've also bartended as a fill-in for some of the places that have hired me for entertainment when I've had a night open and would be down to bartend as well. Thanks on advance for any potential opportunities you can think of!2 points

Yeah... rebuilding.. Losses to a really bad FIU team and a bad Navy team and otherwise we'd be in the middle of a historical season by UNT standards. We are in the middle of a HC and several assistants learning curve type of season.2 points

WVU at Houston just ended with a wild finish. WVU behind 32-35 with 1:12 remaining drives the field, 4th and 10 from the 50, throws 50 yd TD pass with 12 seconds left to lead 39-35. UH returns kickoff to their 43 with 7 seconds left. One 8 yard pass to WVU 49, then 49 yd TD pass with no time remaining. Final UH-41-39.2 points

I’ve always said if we could get a $25.00 a year donation to UNT Athletics from every living teacher that graduated from UNT we would no problem funding and supporting UNT Athletics, or even adding baseball.2 points

If wearing alternative uniforms is what it takes to motivate these players, we have the wrong players and coaches. The Mean Green on National TV, and we wear freaking black. What a waste.2 points
