He's well ahead with the recovery process. Has been running routes and working with some coaches and QBs since Jan.11 points

Would be a really good fit. I know receiver isn’t a position with a lot of need, but while we have good talent there we aren’t as deep numbers wise.3 points

CBL is on this board like, what, once a month? He's intentionally poking the bear because he knows a similar ban doesn't matter.2 points

I can't speak at all to Lifer's situation...never saw it...I'm simply asking for travel advice. I've never been to Cancun. the Hyatt Ziva also looks really nice2 points

plant fitness has a $10 month with no contract he take advantage of if he needs to work out. Not playing for the team he should not have access to any facilities at UNT. He is just a student and can use the same facility the regular students use.2 points

Should of moved these games to Cancun. They have nice weather right now.2 points

If we were on their schedule I would have absolutely no problem2 points

Interesting info regarding possible herd immunity soon. Hopefully it'll be accurate. Herd Immunity By April? (Also--the NYT is a joke)1 point

A 6 foot 8 inch 325 lb giant OT that is quick as a cat ! Watch his highlight videos! I hope this recruit is a top priority with the staff! I am sure the other schools will be after him too!1 point

I guess you're serious, but are you not aware that the yearbook had the name right at that time?https://blogs.library.unt.edu/unt125/2015/06/22/name-change-unt/#:~:text=On May 15%2C 1988%2C the,College and Teacher's Training Institute1 point

With hardly any G5 TV packages that produce any significant TV revenue for either school & the tight athletic budgets in this era, the series makes sense. (See the last paragraph in this 🙄manifesto, though). ••• Took a while, but UNT now has top-knotch football facilities, a nice adjacent to those venues athletic dormitory & looking at the last 3 years recruiting rankings by 247 has proven to quality talent that UNT (in deed) has something of its own to sell. Public vs. Private Texas universities have their respective percs & always have. In our history & as far as recruiting goes we’ve never seen our favorite school consistently go head to head with as many P5 schools as we did this last recruiting cycle (& we will still sign a few more before August 1’st). This is a trend I believe will continue. The racial diversity of UNT’s 41,000 enrollment school has always (IMO) been a plus if we’ll find a way of magnifying that (among other pluses). AD Wren Baker & Company actually seem to be doing that. ••• We just need to focus on the future (just like Bill Snyder & Kansas State did when all their Big 8/Big 12 series with their conference opponents were lopsided as they could be). Just win.1 point

Originally offered by Syaracuse, Memphis, NMSU, and ULM. Committed to Memphis, then backed out and committed to NMSU on signing day. https://247sports.com/Recruitment/Jason-Simmons-98919/RecruitInterests/ Started as a freshman at NMSU. #17 in video1 point

I am not sure what it takes to start at NMSU. However, if he has talent we could use him.1 point

We have been beating out some high level G5 and low level P5 programs for HS recruits. And we have a 4 star QB coming in from UNC. I think you know that, which is why I'm kind surprised how myopic your above post seems.1 point

Dykes is a helluva coach and always has been. He has used the portal wisely to get DFW kids back home to get playing time and the opportunity for a degree from a highly regarded school. In the business world, within this region, SMU’s business school carries a lot of cachet and lots of athletes are attracted to the degree. They have that main advantage that few in the G5 can use.1 point
-
You give them way too much credit. They out recruit NT because they are in a better conference. Not some great recruiting strategy. The biggest factor in recruiting is conference affiliation. SMU has always had that great advantage over NT.1 point

Cleared to go. His presence on deep balls will be a very welcome addition again in 2021!1 point

Now, be nice. There are tens and tens of people who care about SMU football.1 point

Curlee is a name that has been lacking in Mean Green lore. Maybe it won't be this guy, but some day we need to sign one.1 point

I'm not totally sure why CBL threw this out there, because Kap was not just ignoring. It was clearly his protest to get people talking. You can't get people talking if you don't get noticed. Back on topic. On one hand, I agree with traditions. On the other, I don't want people doing this because "it's just what you do." I want people doing it because they want to. If you have a solution, I'm all ears.1 point
-
If I’m ignoring something, I just kind of don’t pay attention to it. There is no posturing if all you’re doing is ignoring.1 point
-
Anyone notice Walerius's tweets, he is consistently @'d by interested high school recruits trying to get his attention. Literally thousands of kids out there that want to play next level football. IMO, TxState went full-on JUCO intentionally.1 point
