This game perfectly encapsulates my Mean Green fandom since 2002. It doesn’t get any better or worse than this. This is it.

This team is New Denton in the streets, Old Denton in the sheets. ❌ No wins against good teams. ❌ No conference title. ❌ No bowl win. ✔️ Good regular season record from beating up on bad teams. I'll accept my down votes, but ultimately, if we want to get to a better place then we are now, we have to start winning when it matters.

Mason Fine covered up a lot of holes on this team.

Believe USU game plan was to take Fine out and they accomplished it. That school should be embarrassed at the poor sportsmanship show they put on. By the way, I don't think NT would have been competitive even with Fine.

So should we start with realignment, uniforms, band griping, hating on SMU and UTSA, critiquing architectural drawings, or something else this year?

I was ripped after the la tech game saying that is staff can't win a big game..... I still stand by my comment. Can't believe people talked about heisman , expanding the staidum, undeafted season. Love my mean green but something has to change.

I'd rather have Quinn at 100% than Mason at 50%.

Something I realized after reading this is we do not see many or possibly any arrests coming from the UNT football team as of late. I remember Mac’s teams would always have a guy here and a guy there busted for Public Intox, Shoplifting, etc... but I can’t remember the last player to be caught for something like that. And if they did, SL was quick to let them go from the team. I am proud of the men that SL and staff are molding. I mean look at the leaders of this team. Would you really think they would associate themselves with that kind of lifestyle? They know they have bigger things to do in life. It’s a shame we had even leaders of our football team a few years ago that would engage in criminal behavior like that. For FIU, I would be ashamed of this. Time to cut him and move on. No excuse for this at all.

The NYT isn't going to be popular with some on this board, but it's really big for one of our players to get some press there. Edit: and we still cant get decent press from the rags in Ft Worth and Dallas. It's laughable.

I tried to go back to a post I made regarding the USU roster. I wanted everyone here to look at the size of the USU players. What we are seeing today is a result of our lack of size and depth. Been that way for a long, long time.

I was prepared to watch a good bowl game. Yet again the team was not prepared to play a good game. Still waiting on someone to tell me which pressure game this staff has won.

If we ever play in the New Mexico bowl again, let's not play against a team that is used to the altitude.

On paper, this is the best team they have faced all year. I know our guys are going to give it their all today. They will need to bring energy and their 'A' game today to win this thing. That includes coaches and players.
