1) How many of you, before the season, would have honestly said the goal for this year was to play for the CUSA title? That is a realistic goal today. Let that sink in. 2) We should have shut UTEP out. Our defense is that good. Their only score was a fluke. We held them to 1.3 yards a carry and 56 total rushing yards. I know UTEP isn't a juggernaut, but this is still impressive...by the way, they ran for 127 against aTm. 3) Brelan should have had another return for a TD. That block in the back was silly. 4) We should have run more. I know, I know, we had a butt load of rush yards but DT is not a deep ball QB and we kept trying to force it. It worked once. We averaged about 10 a carry and could have killed the clock much earlier than we did. 5) SMU got beat down today. That's it, just wanted to say it. 6) I was ok with the crowd size. If we could convince the frat boys to put down the bourbon and walk inside we'd really be in business. 7) I want to send a shout out to Lefty's son. He's gonna be a gamer and not every defense will hit like this. 8) It's so so so so so so so so nice to talk about bowl season and discuss which one we're headed to. 9) couldn't we have let Berglund throw 1 pass? A screen even. 10) I hope the two weeks off heals up a bunch of guys. UTSA is coming in to play their "Super Bowl" against the west division leaders.

UTSA easily has the best music program in northwestern San Antonio.

Seriously? He damages the university he attended? Since when has he put his university down? I've never ever heard him dis this university. In fact he does pull for UNT and frequently talks about the great times he had as a student here. I can also guarantee that when they do their CFB talk on Tuesday he'll mention the NT game and how he was at the game and had a great time. Be proud and happy that he was at the game. We can't and should not make any enemies at this point especially when we historically have terrible attendance and apathy at NT.

Glad he is back. I'm sure we will hear a segment on UNT homecoming on The Ticket Monday morning. You know, the same radio station that dominates its competition in the male 24-55 demographic. I agree with the hard nose football. Offensively we are a hybrid...we will line up wiht 4 wides and beat you on the edge with our speed...but I love to see some football that will pound your ass with 5 yards in a cloud of dust. There is nothing more demoralizing to a defense than have a 10 play drive where they can't stop an offense banging them up the middle. Defense...I love the way these kids are flying around to the ball and gang tackling. I mentioned the other day how stupid I thought it was for UTEP to start a qb with no college experience against a defense like ours. Yes he had a couple of plays, but overall this kid was thrown in a pool of sharks with a bleeding wound.

I told him I was glad we could pull him away from OU. He looked happy to he back,really good guy!

How did I get a minus one for stating a fact? I sit right by the bench in 105. HI have a pretty good view of what is going on down there. The only reason I see a sling is because you cannot do anything for the ribs but let them heal on there own and prevent movement. That I why I wish they would have addressed this on the post game show.

Agreed. I say this because McCoy was up and about with his short off smiling and high fiveing while Smith looked upset and in paint he whole rest of the game. Still mad we kept DT in that long. If we had pulled him we would not have that injury. He overthrows everyone and leaves his receivers out to dry for the defense.

I'm anxious to see Berglund perform. People have been writing him off and saying he will transfer but he's been sticking with it and being a team player, giving the signs from the sideline. I'm pulling for him for more reasons than his talent.

Chancellor, and McCoy didn't look too bad, but the injuries to Rollins and D. Smith look to be serious. Anyone know the extent and status of those latter two? GO MEAN GREEN!

Good point. Maybe I missed the backup WRs. Either way, Mac has been pretty consistent. DT has stayed into games well past what seems to be potential opportunities to pull him. Can't argue with Mac's success this year, so...carry on.

I'll repeat my question. Can UNT get at least 1 vote in the polls by the end of the year? That is not a ranking, just a little nod of respect. What happens it we win the CUSA title and are 10-3 at that point? What if we win a bowl and go 11-3? Call me optimistic, but the 21-21 tie in the 2nd half of the Georgia game got us noticed. Voters remember stuff like that when you have a good record to go with it.

Your crew should strongly consider going inside the stadium and watching the game.

With Tulane losing to UTSA the west I'd now UNTs too lose, be nice to sniff some Top 25 votes, the team has earned it.

If he transfers I will be pretty upset. I have no doubt in my mind he is a better QB then Thompson. Thompson leaves his recieved out to dry and is not consistent. I am happy we are winning but against a good ECU team it will be a close game. Our defense allows us to win every game and I love that!

As cool as HoD would be, it's really starting to feel like Liberty Bowl or bust. Although I wouldn't mind if the SEC school used the veto and made us play another bowl.
