  1. So you mean to say that this: Has nothing to do with global warming?

  2. Texas, love it or leave it? Rick, my family has been in Texas since it was a part of Mexico. We've paid our taxes and fought & died in her wars. We earned our right to be here regardless of our politics.

  3. Why do we always have to have the lame voice overs? Just pick cool music and roll highlights.

  4. Incorrect. Logic has no home on the football board and hasn't for YEARS.

  5. I think people realistically know that humanity will never stop all of that stuff. I think the point is every little bit helps. So, if you can walk to the store to pick up a few things instead of driving, do it. If you can turn off some lights, instead of having your whole residence lit up, do that too. If you can car pool somewhere instead of taking multiple cars, do that (or take public transit). If you can recycle your cans, do that. I mean, I certainly am no "greenie" -- but I do all of that in some form or another. If I do all of that, it's no big deal. If 300 million do it, it starts adding up.

  7. Just picked up another sponsor for the game...KOKJOHN LONG SNAPPING will again be one of our t-shirt sleeve sponsors. I say "once again" because these guys were also kind enough to be sponsors for our last flag football game and basketball game! And, I did not ask...was not going to ask as they have stepped up to help so many times before...AS with our other announced sponsors, we all know what great supporters the Kokjohn family is when it comes to UNT and UNT Athletics! So ... a great big and personal "thank you" to the Kokjohn's and Kokjohn Long Snapping for once again stepping up to help support these events and the scholarship athletes of UNT! Well done and THANK YOU!

  8. So we may be getting a Big East center. I thought we already had one of those...

  9. Folks...another most generous sponsor has stepped up to help with this event! Overall nice guy and big time supporter of UNT in general, BRYAN WADDLE (Green Dozer), and his business, CROSS TIMBERS EQUIPMENT have agreed to be our primary t-shirt sponsor for this benefit event. Many of you know Bryan already and know what a generous supporter of UNT he and his family are, but I want to thank his and let him know how much this support is appreciated. This is our first WORLD SERIES OF SOFTBALL, so we don't have a track record of success like we do for the football and basketball games, and Bryan made the decision to help put this event on the map as well. Thank you Bryan and Cross Timbers Equipment. Be sure and tell Bryan "thank you" the next time you run in to him...he is not hard to find around UNT! Thanks to a great member of the Mean Green Nation!

  10. Yes Make it happen Benford. Looks like our best option available. Even though his PT is low he still has Big East expieriance. If he can split time with Coleman or if Coleman doesn't develop then it gives us another option at center.

  11. And C-USA Commish' Britt Banowsky would probably also remind all that the new Conference-USA has 5 million more citizens or population in its footprint, too. GMG!

  12. And games to which fans to travel makes for stronger rivalries. Stronger rivalries builds more fan support in both time and money. An excited fan base can generate more money than the kind of TV contracts that will exist outside of the G5 conferences which will build and improve programs.

  17. These videos are becoming more and more horrible. I don't have much love for URCM, but there are some folks there that could whip Athletics at this stuff. These video trailers they keep putting out are just bad. Now this is the pinnacle of what these videos should be, the apogee if you will: Now I'm not saying to do this, but perhaps an adjustment in our videography and promotion philosophy to something closer to this is well in order. That, and they need to sell their crappy prosumer camcorders from 4-6 years ago, catch up with the times and go with the HDSLR or digital film look.

  21. I liken all of this to taking the SATs or something. You, yourself, put in all this time and effort into studying for them. You sink alot of money into Kaplan or whatever, SAT prep books, pre-tests and such... Then you watch the flippant guy that doesn't get the same kind of grades as you, sit on one side of that genius guy and cheat. On the other side is the star QB, Mr. Popular guy that everyone likes and wants to be like, copying the genius as well. Neither get caught. No penalties. Both get a better score than you with little to no effort. You could easily cheat as well. But you're a stand up guy, so you don't. But it really chaps your rear. You = concerned citizens in the USA and Europe. Cheaters = India/China/other emerging countries with little-to-no environmental awareness, making HUGE impacts, and the consumer mentality of majority of United States citizens.

  25. Cougar Queen, does it make you feel good inside to know that both of your schools' fanbases hate you? I mean, there's a bit of annoyance at my opinions but it doesn't seem like everyone hates me. You, however. Not a lot of <3. You just piss off everyone. Literally, every single football fan on every forum you've ever posted on dislikes you. Yikes.

  31. What?? How does a population explosion and consumption of everything by all of these people contribute to cooling anything? Simple thermodynamic laws. More activity by more people causes more heat. Now if you want to look at greenhouse gasses and such, that's just a separate issue. But if you're going to bring up the earth's past fluctuations of cooling/heating, you simply cannot leave out the exponential population growth since the industrial revolution because it is a gigantic variable.

I take that the data a few ways. 10,000 years ago a few camp fires ended the ice age because the industrial revolution began basically 5 minutes ago, in geologic terms, and there is a hell of a lot more unprotected sex occurring lately. Additionally, your graph was used by the global cooling crowd of my youth.
