True, we did have some talented recruits the last 3 years, but the results didn't get us to the NCAA's, thus winning the SBC tourney, the past two years. I agree with Harry, let's see how this ends up.

So which is it? Are they recent immigrants (been here a year or less) or the more current info that I'm hearing that they've been here 10 years or more? Also, I'm always amazed by the "ant pile" tactics of my police brethren when there is a hostage/barricaded person situation. Put as many guys with guns as you can within 30 yards of the location. Nevermind that you think this guy has explosives and that, with AR-15's and other assault rifles, you could create a 360 degree field of fire with 5-10 officers from 50 yards or more away with precision. And, for the love of God, don't get me started on the media's description as they try to give a play by play...pathetic.

I feel with the secondary really looking like it is finally turning around, it all comes down to qb play. and i know there is all the debating about DT but this is my opinion on the situation. plain and simple short of DT FINALLY fixing his foot work and actually stepping into throws instead of always off the back foot. BB needs to the the starter. now i know this is a risky move because of BB lack of experience, and its sad but we all know what we are going to get out of DT... a good practice player who is incredibly inconsistent in games and in all of this time here has really shown minimal improvement in play or even form which really concerns me considering that our O-coordinator is the qb coach and cant get our starting qb past abysmal throwing form. Any way point is we know what we are getting with DT which is 3 maybe 4 wins because with an inconsistent passing game as stated by others with 8 in the box i dont care how good the oline is its hard to run. So you have to go with BB who is supposed to have this talent but we wont see it unless he plays in games. practice is one thing but games are another. and with BB running ability it will really open up the offense. but like i said this is risky so i cant put a good win cap on BB but i feel the upside is worth the risk, because honestly to me there is not much difference between 2 wins and 5 wins you either have a winning record or a bowl game or you dont. So that being said with DT=2-3 BB=2-7

I consider it trashing when you are constantly criticizing a player (Berglund) using selective facts while omitting mitigating circumstances. He calls him a quitter for leaving Kansas when the new coach announces that he is bringing his quarterback that he recruited at Notre Dame with him. He wanted Berglund to play one year while his transfer had to sit and then it would have been out the door (or sit). I don't blame anyone for wanting to leave in that situation and I certainly wouldn't call them a quitter. TFLF also criticized him for going to the Arizona JC. He explained that he went there so that he could play a year instead of sitting; then he planned to come here. When he found that he had to complete his apprentice degree before he could play here without sitting, he hooked 'em. Again, how does this label a person a quitter? As Billy See pointed out, legal troubles (for which he was eventually no-billed) caused him to spend so much time in Colorado that he did not have the time to compete for a starting position his freshman year at Kansas. Berglund came here at his own expense and chose us over several other candidates. We've never had a quarterback with his credentials in our history and I, for one, am damn glad that he did. When you call a guy a quitter by selectively using certain facts to your advantage while ignoring reasons for such acts, then I consider that trashing him.

I think the report of the dead suspect was false. Kind of like how briefly I heard two suspects were in custody, but it was because they interviewed the guy naked and clothed and it confused onlookers.

The media not glorifying the shooter would go a long way to curtailing the problem. Treat them like we treat rape victims. Don't bane them. Takes away a huge attention seeking incentive that many of these loons possess. But the media would never do that, because they couldn't sensationalize the shooting and the victims' families for their ratings. And they also couldn't beat the drum to create and cover side news stories from the event (gun control debate). Sadly, this will never happen.

extended background checks won't stop a nut...a nut already knows they are nutty and won't even apply...a criminal knows they won't be able to pass a background check, so they will get a weapon illegally. the kid who shot up newtown got the weapons from his mother...she had them legally...NOTHING WILL STOP A NUT THAT WANTS TO COMMIT A CRIME!!!
