There's no way RV can have any say in the new hire, right? Right?6 points

That's encouraging, he must have three interviews set up for that time.4 points

Some Kansas student have crafted up this website so that female KU students can...show their appreciation for the school? http://kuboobs.com/3 points

Good article. It is without a doubt both on the shoulders of play calling and quarterbacking. I believe chico knows he is on the hot seat this year. Lets hope that translates into different and more aggressive play calling. As far as the qbing goes, if Brock doesn't workout we maybe in trouble.3 points

Perfect...I used to log onto Go Mean Green.com serveral if not many times a day to read if not post in BB board. I'd hardly ever go to football forum. For many years I spent my time on football forum until JJ and men's basketball won me over. I like any sport fan enjoy following a winner or at least team capable of winning more often than not. JJ and men's BB did it for me. Now I hardly go to Go Mean Green.com at all. Haven't been onsite in weeks. I posted months ago that RV should reach down deep for the Gutts, or Jewel's to fire Coach Benford. Did happen...reality set in so no Go Mean Green.com. What was supposed to be our shinning season for national acclaim and recognition (sp) has been shot in the face by coach Benford like so many others ie Coach Newman, and Coach Dodge. Getting sick at my stomuch (sp) just writing post.2 points

All the more reason not to flaunt it. Sexual activity is private. Who gives a rat's rear what our sexual orientation is? Does that make him or anyone else a better athlete? Do adulterers broadcast that fact? Just keep your private life private; it's no one else's business and can cause a lot of ill will.2 points

I like. I think this is a good move on Fox's part. Remember when the Fox Channel first appreared on the scene? The "big dogs" they were competing against said it wouldn't last...well, history has shown that it not only lasted, but that it has prospered. If I were ESPN I would be taking due notice. And for the Speed Channel fans out there...my guess right now is that lots of motorsports will still be shown on Fox1 after the changeover...hard for a start up to find 24 hour/365 day sports without the NFL and a few others. So, I would fear not....2 points

We now know why its been so quiet of the "Big East" 12th team/Tulsa talk. The soon to be former "Big East" football schools didn't want to split the $100 million pie more ways.2 points

For as little as it's been updated over the years, the Super Pit is fabulous. It's got great bones.2 points

Replacement shouldn't even be in the conversation until we fill it up a couple of years in a row. Hell, I'd be happy with a legit half full.2 points
-
The Super Pit is kind of old and dark (something that got worse when the orange chairs went to green--a move with which I agree--but I digress). Otherwise it's a pretty good facility, far superior to most of our peers. It's certainly a long way away from being torn down or replaced.2 points

So, let me get this straight. One could summarize the writer's "OUTLOOK" as essentially saying, "the team has plenty of talent and experience, but is it enough to overcome the ineptitude of the head coach?"2 points

http://www.soonersports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/nathan_hughes_761757.html Kid was a 5-star DE according to Scout/4-star according to Rivals. Redshirted in 2011. OU moved him from DE to OL...at 248 pounds? He didn't play any in 2012. Two year remaining on this guy after he sits out a year. From Spring Klein Oak. Wonder if the school he transfers to will put him back on the defensive side of the ball.1 point

9 SEED—NORTH TEXAS MEAN GREEN (12-19, 7-13) Coach: Tony Benford STRENGTHS: Tony Mitchell is a sure first round NBA draft pick, and, although his numbers are down a little from last year, he’s a double double waiting to happen every time he steps on the court. He’s an unselfish player on the offensive end and the best shot blocker in the league, although he doesn’t have the most blocked shots. Sophomore Jordan Williams can really score the basketball. Roger Franklin is a very good rebounder despite being undersized. And, the Mean Green have Chris Jones back after he missed 16 games with a broken foot. Jones is an excellent point guard who averages nearly five assists per game. UNT has some depth at just about every position. Very good free throw shooting team. WEAKNESSES—Mitchell and Franklin are prone to foul trouble. This team doesn’t shoot it very well from the perimeter, less than 29% from three point range. Williams can shoot it, but the others are hit and miss from the perimeter. Team doesn’t force a lot of turnovers. OUTLOOK:–But let’s face it. This team puts the dys in dysfunctional. The players never bought into Benford’s system and it’s pretty obvious there have been chemistry and locker room issues all season. The injury to Jones notwithstanding, this has been the biggest underachieving team the Sun Belt has seen in recent memory. And, it can all be traced, at least for now, to the selection of Benford. It’s too early to call him the Todd Dodge of basketball, But AD Rick Villareal probably isn’t a happy guy right now. But make no mistake. The talent is there. And, this team has put it together in Hot Springs before. The question is, can they do it with Benford as coach. http://espn1420.com/sun-belt-tournament-preview-bracket-one-from-the-birds-nest/1 point

Actually, I have witnessed Veldon Lane Rawlins look straight at representatives from the Intrafraternity Council and say, "look, you all are not as important as you think you are." I love the man's candor. If anything, he's had a hand in reigning in the Greeks to some degree.1 point

OK, we are now have a "set" of referees for this Classic! Troy Kokjohn will be joined by Will Overlander (older brother and golfer supreme to Clarke Overlander) as referees for this "Classic" game! Thank you Troy for coming back for another referee stint and thank you Will for agreeing to run herd on the game as well. So, we have refs that can definitely keep up with the players, so "let the game begin"!1 point

"Too conservative" and "getting into 3rd and long situations far too frequently" obviously goes hand in hand. Throw the damn ball, coach, and throw it before 3rd and long, Can we EVER have a balanced offense around here? Great article that really points out where UNT's offensive weaknesses are at the worst.1 point

I put my kids in UNT sweaters & T-shirts while I wore NT hats & shirts. Never NT pants. I'm guessing the pants trip the douche-o-meter.1 point

Don't discount the C7 keep the MSG tournament. That's a huge asset going forward. Interesting that the Last 3 would treat the newcomers so badly. I would think they would split SOME of the money just to thank them for not bailing. Of course if the Last 3 intend to leave as soon as the checks clear then I guess they don't need to be reasonable.1 point

It's great thay they are tackling THIS pressing topic, instead of wasting time on countless other trivial issues.1 point

There might be a forthcoming announcement related to training facilities for the North Texas Golf teams, if everything falls in place. Most everything UNT related is on the upward trend! If you (general YOU not you Wardly) can't get uber excited about how things are moving for North Texas, then you just might be dead!1 point

I haven't been to many other basketball stadiums but I really don't see what is great about the pit. I don't like the circular court railing design. .would prefer straight lines...I just don't get the greatness that is prelached about the pit1 point

If I remember right , Fry went to his shade of light green for about a similiar reason... tough to see on game film ... but I think the film may have been black/white then.. The worm... hated it.. it was just typical of the time, 70's, some others went to some odd symbols as well. Doubt any still exist today. Hate that blue field (usually change games if on) but the red field is even worse.1 point

Uhm, every school that plays in bowls instead of playoffs is in a BCS conference according to the rules set up by the Bowl Championship Series. What the coach is saying is he thought they were an FCS school before.1 point
