Wow, if somebody responded to one of your posts like this, you would have come unglued.4 points

Since, according to this board, being on ESPN3 (i.e., available on the Internet only to those who have Internet service with a select few providers) constitutes being on "national television," no words have any actual meaning.3 points

Just be careful, because there are some cases when keeping it real goes wrong (Chappelle show reference).3 points

Yep, just like emmitt and GreenBat arguing about what was well documented in the news on left leaning stations. Their response? Throw in racism, the Klan and Fox News.3 points

No one seems to be interested, but NT is in the hunt in both men and women's Belt indoor track meet finishing today. Women were 3rd and men 2nd after first day, which doesn't mean much. However, NT looks to be in pretty good condition going into the final day.2 points

GG, it does clear up something for me. I sure won't be taking online courses from Kansas University. 40K, wow!2 points

The fight is not very concerning... but I don't know why Weis would have to lie. Kinda concerning, and it fits with how he was at Scottsdale for less than a month before transferring here. Obviously, we don't know the whole story, but I hope Brock is the player we think he is and that he's happy here, otherwise, he could be gone in a poof, kinda like Vizza.2 points

You might want to rethink the dog thing. My English Setter is no longer allowed to use a computer as she has broken 2 laptops already.(really) While she would sit patiently like in a duck blind and point things out like when she quail hunts, she would also charge the field every time the cannon goes off. Also think of the fiasco caused by all the fans with retrievers. Every time the refs throw flags they would have to go into the stands to get them back.2 points

Likely FX and probably simulcast on TXA 21. If not FX, all the FSN channels.1 point

My guess would be some CBS affiliate, maybe CBS college? In any case, we're not talking either of the ESPN's, ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox. Here's hoping the promotions department is ALREADY planning for this game.1 point

Is it going to be on ESPN3? If so, really glad I will be at Apogee for the game...Well, I would be just as happy to be at Apogee for the game if it were on Channel 8 or ESPN itself for that matter.1 point

Yes there could very well be smoke. Just from seeing the way Brock conducts himself I feel a degree of confidence with regards to him off the field at this point. I'm the same age Brock is and I feel like he knows how to handle social media, interviews, and being in public better than almost everyone on the team and most our age. Most our age just don't understand how damaging what you do or say in the public eye can be, but Brock appears to. Plus from reading his interviews he's done with all the moving around. He wants to just play football and not deal with anything else. Yeah, Vizza was a weird case but he also left to go to A&M I thought, and he had more eligibility and a redshirt available when he left.1 point

He was a Scottsdale for such a short time because if he had stayed there for the fall semester then he would not have been eligible to transfer here or anywhere else in time for this spring semester. Also, he's pretty settled in here and he would be best served finishing his college career here. He has 3 years to play 3 seasons and transferring after this year would be pointless.1 point

Yeah but I wanted to take it out of context and make a different point. You know, like on talk radio.1 point

I kinda meant the whole blaming everyone else for things that he is responsible for, but ya, it's a part of growing up. Lets hope he has.1 point

Interesting piece.. Makes you wonder what was going on at KU... It is VERY easy to make a 2 hour snaffu show up or go away from the academic side. Just saying...1 point

I think this is the most important part of this. When you get older, you learn to not put yourself in certain situations and if you happen to find yourself in one, you find better ways to deal with them. I'm excited about having this guy leading this team. He has more tangibles than any QB we've had in a long, long time. Hopefully it's a gamble that pays off.1 point

Lots of things that are other people's fault. Lets hope he has grown past that aspect of his life. The whole assault thing had to have been parent driven by the other kid's parents. Probably looking for a free check. Anyone else remember their high school days when their was a fight at just about every party? Hell, I have a friend that grew up in a very rural setting. They used to fight every Friday night for something to do. They weren't even mad at each other.1 point

Yes, but the Clan's ideas don't get neutral to positive coverage from Fox, much less the today show. Here is a little sample from Time magazine, hardly far left, giving Dorner's manifesto credence: http://nation.time.com/2013/02/14/after-christopher-dorner-what-next-for-the-lapd/ A simple Internet search can pull up many similar articles in some very mainstream publications. Needless to say, McVeigh's manifesto (if he had written one) would have rightfully been cast as the rumblings of a madman. Dorner's gets reflective articles on his allegations. But just disregard that Dorner killed 4 innocent people and was clearly off the reservation and just give his lunatic rumblings credence because he said the magic word "racism". It's just a far left dream. A former cop claiming racism while killing innocent cops (although no cops are innocent to the far left). Cops don't matter to the far left. Never have. Oh, and LAPD has re-opened the investigation into Dorner's training officer based solsy on Dorner's manifesto and political pressure. So the far left has pressured the PD trying to take down another innocent cop (as found in the first investigation when Dorner was found to be untruthful. Having a sustained untruthfulness complaint pretty much eliminates that officer from ever taking the witness stand in a criminal court of law). So because a murderer of 3(?) innocent cops and 2 innocent, unarmed civilians writes a manifesto, that officer has to go through a purely politically motivated investigation. If you have ever been through an IAD investigation, especially a politicly motivated one, you know what lies ahead for this officer. If you haven't, well, pray that you never have the experience.1 point

We wanted an upgrade in conference so we must wear our big boy pants and show up in decent numbers. Hopefully, there's not a large percentage of alumni with small children that must stay home for trick or treating. Let's sacrifice a little for national television. A good crowd and a good rating could help future contract negotiations. Good Lord willing, I'll be there with 1-3 others.1 point

You sound like a wise and seasoned gentleman. I have a question with something I am struggling with myself. After putting someone on notice and they don't get back in line, what is the next step? Also, is the 1st notice written or verbal? My gf just served my pancakes with reduced calorie maple syrup so I am eagerly awaiting your reply:)1 point

It just goes to show you the luck of North Texas. We are unfortunate enough to have the "most talented North Texas team in history" the exact same year that Alabama Huntsville and the entire Sunbelt Conference have their most talented teams in their history...1 point

I'll never forget the head coach apologizing for being unable to keep his players from scoring in that game. That was awful.1 point

You know, that was just salt to the wound that still hasn't healed from that massacre in Houston. Losing to Texas 77-20 is awful, but at least you get paid well for it. Losing 77-20 to Rice, in my opinion, is the low point of this program since we moved back up to FBS competion in 1995.1 point

Didn't know I was out here giving hot, fresh, rogue opinions daily. I've been trying to mostly stay clear of it because it accomplishes nothing. I think we even talked about that a little at the UTA game, but I'll try to dial it back this crazy edginess and stop covering for the players by questioning the logic of your individual scenario. Meanwhile, carry on with your totally non-agenda'd posts about Mitchell.1 point
