McCarney run up the score 24-0 at the half, gets loose on the Goose. Stumbles across the field and saws off the horn off the blue unicorn and drinks the unicorn blood becoming forever invincible taking us to the National Championship for the next 500 years.9 points

I sat behind a gentleman at the game last Tuesday who was on a mission to see every division one stadium. Apogee was number 112 on his journey. He called it not just one of the nicest stadiums of its size, but one of the nicest he had seen. I consistently see visiting fans complimenting Apogee, and that makes me proud.9 points

It all boils down to one thing. Will the real Derrick Thompson please stand up?3 points

I like! Is it wrong to hope the Mavs suck so they can take him as a lottery pick?3 points

Looks like a lot of open area in there? Very nice. BTW, word I got during the Houston game was the A is not back from the paint doctor yet? Maybe it will make an appearance for homecoming? Rick3 points

Apogee wasn't built to load our team up and head to Dallas to play SMU at the Cotton Bowl. Now, I am all for collecting a check and playing an opportunity game there instead of in Baton Rouge, Fayetteville, Athens, GA, Knoxville, etc...3 points

I did a little research (which was harder than I thought since I couldn't find a media guide online). I did find the Fact and Record Book for UNT basketball. The best win would probably be in 1968 when UNT beat #8 Wichita St in Wichita. It's the program's only win over a Top 10 team. North Texas hasn't beaten a ranked team since 1975 (against #15 Louisville). It looks like UNT was 5-90 all time against ranked teams going into last year. https://admin.xosn.com/pdf8/796621.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=1800&KEY=GJVWIVSPEAOYDAP.20111109144336 (page 50)2 points

Let me shed a little light on the situation, so that way you don't make yourself look silly for criticizing. ESPN puts mics by the band. It's not our fault the ESPN crew decided not to turn down the mics that were by the band. Also, the "cheesy little Radio Shak PA system" is basically the most common PA system used by marching bands across the nation. So way to make yourself look like you know what you're talking about.2 points

Rumor has it that the team is headed for Stillwater Friday after the first home game to duke it out with the cowboys2 points

If we are ultimately use ticket revenue to judge the health of the program then it seems more reasonable to use tickets sold, plus some sort of formula for the student tickets (scanned/picked up/whatever). The program benefits from the number of tickets they sell regardless of whether or not the people actually show up. It sounds like a lot of programs seem to use tickets sold plus however they count students, which gives a much higher number reported for attendance (i.e. smoo). I can't see how reporting the number of actual tickets sold, plus students attending we be improper and misrepresent the interest in the program. If a ticket is sold it should be counted.2 points

Looking at ArkSt's stats - they've got what looks like a questionable defense. They're ranked 80 in the nation for points scored against, and it looks like they have a weaker overall schedule than our guys do. Their offense is still frightening though. They put up a pile of points on Oregon, more than anyone else on Oregon's schedule.2 points

110% This and only this. I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND If we win at MTSU, furthering our chances of competing for the conference championship, the buzz will continue and our attendance the next Saturday will be higher then if we lose and all but eliminate our chances. It doesn't matter what the damn band does...2 points

I really think there are several players that should be first or second team... Well... i guess they don't share our opinion about how deep this team is... they will not even see what hit em I guess, when they realize Tony is taking a 15 minute nap on the bench in the second half, and the remaining team is still running circles around them2 points

I wasn't happy about that at all. No need risking injury. On the flip side, ASU's final 27 plays were runs. Until that point we had 31 pass attempts and 23 rushes, and finished with 50 rushing attempts.2 points

Alumni side was close to full during the meat of the game. And wasn't it nice for ASU to leave Aplin in the entire game.2 points

I don't know how arky state has looked in their prior games but they are certainly impressive tonight. Their speed at most positions is a real concern. I hope McCarney and the players are all watching this game together - it should certainly eliminate any thoughts that arky state is not as strong as was first thought at the beginning of the season. Scary good tonight!2 points

Something I noticed right as the ASU/ULL game was about to start...just like we ended up with a week and a half to prepare for the Blueball Raiders, ASU gets the same prep time for us...2 points

Biggest Win Ever If we win that game, we will most likely be a top 25 team. And that will open A LOT of eyes in the metroplex. But, hopefully, it won't be #1 on the list for long, because the pre-season NIT finals will await...2 points

Biggest win in the history of the program. Especially because a win versus Creighton may very well put us in the Men's Basketball Top 25 (not mid-major, ALL of the NCAABB).2 points

as long as we still have 6 home games... I'm ok with playing a game in one of those places... but I would much rather see SMU's Ford Stadium overrun with green than see us play to a half empty Cotton Bowl/JerryWorld2 points

That is totally irrelevant. I think we all know someone's getting fired after this one.1 point

It would be a big win and may turn out to be one of the biggest wins in NT history but there is no way to tell that until much later. I see a lot of comments about this team being the best in NT history. Way premature, this could be one of the best if not the best, but this team has done absolutely nothing yet.1 point

I remember watching ArSt game earlier this year and thinking to myself how good their QB looked. Here is to hoping ULL is making ArSt look like we made HU look.1 point
