I know we should be focusing on MTSU, but I ran across this video on youtube and had to post. Sorry if someone aready has.4 points

Jeez - some folks say the same thing about track and field - others say the say thing about volleyball - God knows, others say the same thing about golf, that great university spectator sport. Why don't we just embrace the fact that we have a varied sports program and it would be nice to have even more sports, for those with an interest in the individual sports, to follow. But regardless, all of us should openly support the whole athletic program even when we don't care about some of the individual sports. What a myopic view on your part!4 points

With all the attendance smack that one has to endure in the world of messageboards, I thought I would try to put together some rough numbers regarding Apogee. I did base the numbers off of the seating charts on TicketMaster, but I also tried to keep things in nice round numbers so I am sure there will be discrepancies on individual sections. Once you start looking at the numbers, it is a little easier to get an idea of butts in seats when looking out across the stadium. I might be alone in this, but I kinda want K-State to go all the way this year, perhaps undefeated.3 points

If reading the internet stresses you this much you should probably speak to your doctor. Soccer can not be started in lieu of baseball because CUSA was promised we would be starting baseball. Equestrian is the only (hopefully) economically feasible sport for NT that could offset that number of scholarships. NT would not have to build anything as there are several world class facilities in the area. Unlike most sports, the costs of participation are mainly paid for by the athletes. The only other women's sport that is close to being economically feasible is bowling, but that only offers 5 scholarships and only about 30 D1 teams sponsor it, meaning travel costs would be killer. Lacrosse and Field Hockey offer 12 scholarships, but we would have to build facilities, and they are mainly sponsored by teams in the north, east, or north east. Travel and scheduling would be expensive. Even if you did build facilities for field hockey/lacrosse there is no way the NCAA would award us regionals or super regionals because there are not enough teams in the area. A baseball stadium would cost more, but it's cost could be offset by hosting those and by the fact its higher profile would probably draw a significant sponsor. To speak plainly, if people want soccer, then the real discussion has to be about cutting men's track and field. You ready to start calling for that?2 points

UNT vs MTSU will probably be a typical Sunbelt game and be decided by 7 points or less & come down to the last possession. I'm sure we have a big target on our back for a) getting into CUSA when they didn't b)absoultely embarrassing them in last year's finale I would expect Vegas to have the Blue Raiders as a 1 or 2 point favorite2 points

Consistency is usually the last thing that comes to a young team. Hopefully when Mac told this team to grow up, they took it to mean for longer than 1 half of football. I really hope they can carry over what they figured out in the 2nd half of that Lafayette game. One aspect of our team that has been VERY impressive to me since coach Mac has taken over is the consistency in the turnover category. We haven't been screwing ourselves out of very many opportunities or giving the other team very many by committing stupid turnovers. With how much we run and the age of our young backs, they should be recognized for getting the most basic rule of football right; Don't let go of the football.2 points

I don't want to get ahead of ourselves and starting making plans for late December, but there are some interesting scenarios where there might not be 70 bowl eligible teams. ACC - wont fill it's 9 slots. No one can fill UNC's bowl ban B12 - 8th slot on the bubble. Baylor could spoil it for Iowa ST and both could miss the post season. BE - 6th slot on the bubble. USF could be a spoiler for The bubble teams. B10 - 8th slot on the bubble. Purdue and Minnesota could spoil it for each other CUSA - not going to fill it's 6 slots. No way Marshall, Houston and SMU all go .500 MAC - will get an extra bowl slot MWC - fills their 5 slots PAC - fills their 7 and takes an extra SEC - 9th slot on the bubble. An extra BCS slot might create a hole SBC - will get an extra bowl slot WAC - will get an extra slot1 point

That is not an option. Track is there sports in one - indoor, outdoor, and cross country. If you cut it then unt will only sponsor three mens teams and no longer be DI1 point

I'm a Sophomore at Connally. Dajon has improved a lot from last year as a passer. His mobility in th pocket is as good as I've seen. Just look at the Eastview game this year. He's faster than a 5.14 with those long legs.1 point

Matt Bryant hates you for perpetuating the belief that it's okay to disrupt his long FG attempts with public fornication. http://www.11points.com/Music/11_of_Ludacris%27s_Sexual_Fantasies_That_Are_Just_Too_Damn_Unrealistic1 point

This fan base isn't accustomed to success. Dodgeball still has many afraid that this is the good part of a larger bad dream.1 point

Also, if you look at the remaining schedules of the bubble teams, there would be some tricky combinations of wins to have just 1 spot unfilled in some places. I can see a very decent possibility of the Big East being unable to fill 2 of the 6 spots, and the Big 10 not filling 2 of their 8, especially having 2 automatically ineligible teams. I agree about the ACC and they are another that may leave 2 open spots. I also agree that MWC will likely fill their 5, and CUSA will only hit 4 or 5 of their 6. Also of note is that BYU has an automatic berth in the Poinsettia Bowl; in the unlikely event that either NMSU or Idaho upset them, that's another opening (I don't see them winning either of their other 2 games but who knows). So there's a good chance that the range of new openings will be anywhere from 0-9 depending on how the next month or so goes.1 point

Don't care how its done but score. Everyone is happy now but if NT had lost, McCarney would have been ripped for his ultra conservative play on those two series from almost under NT's goal line. He was right as Atterberry and the defense played great to keep them from scoring more than 3. I think it was more dangerous running every time than it would have been to attempt a few low risk passes I can't knock NT for not passing more, they just don't have the athletes at wrs. Having said that Delgado had a great game and Chancellor always delivers and the passing game has improved, they just need more play makers at the position.1 point

This is how an OOC schedule should look!! One "paycheck" game and the rest winnable D1 opponents.1 point

Just a quick fyi, I talked to George Bodenheimer, ESPN Chairman, while we were fishing in Lake Lavon the other day. He told me that he gauranteed that we would be on SportCenter if TM takes us deep in the tournament. Like, the Final Four. I'm just sayin'... "I get around, and yes I talked to him."1 point

This should decide who wins the sun belt regular season championship. UNT needs a win, a draw won't cut it. I'll be live tweeting the game @rynegannoe and @ntdailysports1 point

Tulsa leads CUSA at 6-1. They have the 10th ranked rushing offense in the nation. Seems to be working pretty well.1 point

I understood that it was because ESPN did a search for North Texas State games and it came up empty. So that is why we aren't televised.1 point

They were there about a month ago to work the Ryan game. The same people do all the work for the metroplex. Outside of the longhorn network which comes out of Austin. The same people work every game. They are espn employees though they are mostly recent college grads trying to actually work their way up. And yes they would know what they are talking about because I asked why they film the hs games but not out at unt.1 point

Oh yes you are correct... I must be a lier obvisouly. Why not... I should lie, it makes sense right...? Did you go to law school or something. Believe what you want, I could care less. I get around and am 100 percent confident in what I can say. Please explain what motive I would have for lying? Were you there for the conversation in the booth? Please explain... What did you hear?1 point

The espn people come and work out at the ch Collins complex and they said they do not show UNTsports often because of the lack of an audience. Every time they show a game does terrible veiwrship on the neilson rating. They said more people view the eu ah high school football hames nationally then anything unt.1 point

Too bad he's a crappy shot. And he didn't stop a massacre. If those guys' intent was to massacre, they wouldn't have come in with a baseball bat and a handgun, and those people would all be dead, starting with the old guy who drew a gun from a few feet away and missed the target repeatedly. If your plan is to stop massacres, you'd have to do more than superficially wound people, because those crazy birds aren't gonna go running for their lives. That's why silhouette targets don't have arms and legs and thighs and buttocks.1 point
