I am not overly concerned with which players start. This whole roster is extremely talented and will be a one-two punch to the opponent when the non-starters enter the game.5 points

In her night class the prof was writting on the board in GREEN chalk. He turned to the class & said that these are our football colors. He then asked, for extra credit, "can anyone kick in here?" GMG4 points

Dad - you are dating yourself.... professors haven't used chalk in years..... HA!4 points

This has nothing to do with football and the speculation about the response of the alleged victim is tasteless.4 points

Found out the the ref mic problem at Apogee has been a bit of a mystery and struggle to fix, but they seem to have located the problem and are working with Manhatten Construction to get it fixed. You may not believe this but they work when tested. Problem was they were tested when no crowd was at Apogee. Seems it is a bad cell tower placement AND, get this, the fact that so many people on the highway and in Apogee during games are ON THEIR cell phones! Yep, all the folks on and the fact that the stadium is down in a hole as far as towers are concerned and because it is right between two big towers is causing the problem. I am not a teach guy so don't understand all that was explained to me, but I did understand that it will be fixed, that it is pretty expensive to fix and that lots of folks are working on it. No one likes it and everyone knows it MUST be fixed and fixed soon. So, to all the folks that thought everyone was just sitting around doing nothing about it...WRONG...lots of folks working omit andIT WILL BE FIXED. Thought that was good news...really surprised to hear what the problem has been....funny about all the cell phones I thought, but that's something that can be fixed wi some fairly expensive antenna replacements. I think we'll see improvement soon. Thought you might like to know...I was pretty happy to hear the fix is on the way and that it could be fixed. Was a bit of a mystery as to why at first as it worked fine ever time they had folks out to test the thing....ahhhh, they mysteries of life........2 points

This is crazy regardless of how good GT is in relation to the top dogs. MTSU is awful, they showed that week 1 and their 2 wins over the literal worst 2 FBS teams cannot be looked at as if they've rebounded, this is essentially the same team that went 2-10 and that lost 59-7 to a team that completed 2 passes. That being said, even though I hate MTSU more than any other Sun Belt school for some reason, I'm totally rooting for them today, and not even because it will make us look better when we beat them. I love upsets, and they are not even close to being on the same level talent-wise that GT is. I know that GT is not exactly a top 15 team this year, but still, this is Georgia Tech, the Georgia Tech that has won the ACC and been to BCS bowls in recent memory....it isn't like they're playing one of the pseudo-BCS schools that are actually bottomfeeders (Kansas, Indiana, etc.). Good for MTSU.2 points

I think winning more games than we lose would change the culture more than anything mentioned so far. Win more, and the rest falls into place.2 points

I think the pre-game atmosphere would be better if the band was more directly involved. The GB marches through the parking lot 2 hours before kick-off but they don't play anything. Sure the drums are beating, but play something. It would be great if the drum line warmed up in the Victory parking lot as opposed to next to the Super Pit. USC cadence is attended by swarms of people prior to their home games. -This is not a complaint, I just think it would add to a pre-game experience. Finally, if it's not logistically possible for the GB to be a bigger part of the parking lot pre-game, how about another student drum line or band? (steel drums, one of the lab bands, etc.)2 points

...is not good enough to win, and is overshadowed by the other QB's performance?? Did anyone else watch the Baylor WVU game? Absolute insanity, I've never seen anything like it before. Geno Smith of WVU threw for well over 600 yards and had 8 TD passes compared to 6 incompletions, and on the other side of things, poor Baylor QB Florence threw for 500+ yards and led an offense that put up 63 points and lost. What the hell did I just watch? I'm not sure whether to be happy about witnessing something so remarkable, or to call the police to submit an official statement about what I saw as a witness to the brutal assault on both defenses today. 70-63 final, around 1200 combined passing yards...TWO RECEIVERS WITH OVER 300 RECEIVING YARDS. Seriously, what the hell did I just watch?1 point

Actually, cell phone signal frequencies and wireless microphone frequencies are very close together. In fact, the FCC pissed off a lot of people last year or the year before by taking some frequencies allocated for wireless mics and selling the right to use those to cell operators. Thousands of wireless mic systems were effected. We had two wireless mic kits at work and one of them operates on the now banned frequencies. It just sits in a drawer because it's illegal to use those frequencies for that purpose now. Remember in "This is Spinal Tap" when the guitar wireless set was picking up the radio signals from thr airforce base? Same thing.1 point

I have 2 predictions: 1: If the trend of Thompson only playing well on the road continues, we will win big, 34-13 -Thompson goes 35-37 for 503 yards and throws 3 TD and rushes for another, 0 INT, Chancellor breaks every yardage record known to man after rushing for 130 yards (including a 95 yard TD run), getting 13 catches for 285 yards, and returns a kickoff 105 yards for a TD with other punt return and kick return yards thrown in, Delgado catches 17 passes for 65 yards, our score is the result of 5 TDs going 0-2 on XP, and 2-3 on 2 point conversions. 2: If the trend of Thompson only playing well against better teams continues, we will win a close one 8-3. -We get a safety late in the first half and miss 5 field goals, Thompson goes 13-32 for 85 yards, 0 TD 3 INT, only TD is Chancellor kick return after FAU field goal, and the XP gets blocked.1 point

If you need one more (and can stomach turning your TV to the LHN) take a look at that Tx State crowd. Im sure all 5000 in attendance are having a blast.1 point

It's plausible that the amount of bodies would interfere with (absorb) the RF signal of the refs wireless mics, if the receivers aren't in optimal positions in the stadium. Without actually looking at, and seeing the system they have in use, it's tough to really speculate on the issue. All I know is that it seems hackish that after a season and a whole off season that the issue hasn't been fixed.1 point

I think the idea of a black out (or white out) game would be great, if it coincided with a free t-shirt give away. People will go into the game to get a free t-shirt, and they'll stick around for a while to see the results of everyone wearing them. Having a winning problem fixes most attendance problems, but it's nice to have something different to look forward to. I have always thought that our drum line should be heavily involved in the tailgating atmosphere. 2 Cents - Delivered.1 point

But it's gay stuff so it's ok to think it's funny and not sad/tragic like regular heterosexual sexual assault. Right?1 point

No you're right, but on the same token if a coach tells a player that he must play at a certain level to maintain the scholarship, that is a little more fair. I'd rather wait until the player produces the way you want before you offer but that may not be Benford's style.1 point

I would be interested in hearing more of the details, but it sounds pretty bad from what some are saying. Did they go back for more just to crazily kick some butt, or did they go back because they picked up some punishment themselves and wanted a little payback? Also, Garza said "they all got out of the car", so I'm wondering if it was a 3/4/5 on 2 situation? It sux either way, and hopefully Stok wasn't the major instigator of it all.1 point
