This really does stink. Even taking off work to make the Tuesday game, the out-of-town fans have to take another day to get back home. Then four games where we just pray Mother Nature smiles on Apogee. This was our first year to enjoy Apogee and UNT football, and were looking forward to this season, but this schedule just stinks.2 points

This is a horrible schedule, I'm not sure how anyone can disagree. Sure there are reasons for the schedule, but that does not change the fact that it is very bad. Of your five home games NT has a bad fc program for it only out of conference game, a fb newby, and a Tuesday night game. Add to that NT will be a heavy underdog in all the away oc games. I am not like many who don't seem to realize that your home schedule is gong to suffer when you play guarantee away games and having only 1 oc game a year is going to frequently happen. I also think that NT probably sold out this year to get a great Apogee opening schedule, which too few realized. (note to Veto, Dodge had nothing to do this years schedule). However, IMO there is no reason to ever have a schedule this unappealing.2 points

I hate to pile on, but I'm wondering what point you're trying to make here? You had to go back 17 years to find a crappier schedule than this 2012 schedule?! Our first season returning to D1A ball?2 points

Game time is 2:45 on the Convention Center Court. Attendance is important for this game as the place can really get hopping if one team's crowd gets fired up. I had a blast last year when the NT Men played FAU who came back in the 2nd half.1 point

Not that this means much of anything, other than MTSU's beat writer has just recently tweeted the same rumor. I'll believe it when there's a press conference held at the AC..........until then will continue to just be optimistic. Adam Sparks Tweet1 point

Nothing like complaining about the lenght of a thread by adding to it. Whether I or anyone else goes to an away game has nothing to do with the home schedule.1 point

So if the passing game does not improve, then opposing defenses will continue to crowd the box against Byrd/Jimmerson/Whitfield/Wilhite. So the problem persists, only I don't think any of these guys are as good as a Senior Dunbar.1 point

Here's for the haters: 1. Why is it that even people who hate us/look down on us see us ending up in the Alliance? 2. Would we rather look like jackasses like LA Tech? I'd rather not have as much information. 3. No, but ESPN makes up for it, in my opinion.1 point

I think this is what people are overlooking. I don't like the way it works, but this is the reality of the situation. Be there because it is our team.1 point

History has been proven wrong. Didn't we set our yearly attendance record last year? Draw 29K for Houston after another SEC blowout? Students will show up for the game, it's a Tuesday night in October, students will be there. The alumni need to man up and show up, if they don't, it's pathetic and they are embarrassing. You think Sooner, Longhorn, or hell, even ULL fans would miss this game? NO. This game is way different than the Troy game. There is way more student pride now than there was before, we have a beautiful new stadium, parents/family will want to come, and we should be having a fairly good season. It should end up as a major Sun Belt clash. Okay, 7 months. Man up. Request off.1 point

REFEREE UPDATE...I have just been told that JACOB HOLMEN has agreed to help by being a referee for our game! Since Jacob is still a Junior and has a year of eligibility left I am going to have to check to make certain he can ref for us...everyone playing and setting up the game are considered "Boosters" under NCAA rules, so we don't want to do ANYTHING that might have a negative effect on Jacob. Great that he is OK with helping us, and I hope it's OK, but will definitely check....1 point

I will say this the scout that was sitting with vito a few games ago was not impressed with Chris Jones (I am personally very impressed with him. He said more turnovers then assists is all I need to know... On the other hand he commented that Mitchel was built for the nba and just need a bit of tweaking to his game. Surprisingly I heard from someone who sat in around them at one game that they were talkative about Jordan Williams and his pure athleticism and interest. I find this curious though... are these scouts just looking at NBA build?1 point
-
But who should start? Mitchel needs to be at the three and Franklin is not a true post player. That leaves Holmen and Edwards in the post and I choose Niko over either of them all day. (Both Franklin and Mitchel are great in the post but its not their true position, especially for Mitchel. Its time he creates his own shot and stops running back and forth between the elbows looking for the ball) --- side note our offense is still killing me!!!! If we are not scoring on the break we are just sitting around swinging the ball around the arc and becoming stagnate. No screens, no motion, no movement of any kind outside of one post player popping to the elbow for the ball.1 point

Why...? Who is better then him in the post? Mitchel? Mitchel needs to be playing the 3 and creating his own shot. Niko can rebound, box out, defend in the paint, hustle up the court, create his own shot, drive it to the hole, knock down the three, and even more impressively pass better then just about anyone on our team. Also where are all the Walton haters? He showed up tonight and he still hustles.1 point
-
I also still liked what I saw from Niko... I still like seeing Niko, Mitchel, J. Williams, Walton, and Jones out there on the floor!1 point
-
The funny thing is when the scouts came to watch Tony they did not care one bit for C.J. The scout said to more turnovers then assists and that's all I need to know about this kid. I am thinking in 4 years he will be on someones board as mid second round draft pick. (Or better depending on how he develops)1 point

LOL only this Walton has some range... Im sure he will get more accurate as the year goes on but he is not afraid and I like that1 point
-
We just have to many decent players... not everyone can get good playing minutes Im impressed with Holmon, Jordan Williams, Walton, Jones and Niko this year1 point
-
And why we are not playing Niko more continues to boggle my mind... He is one of the very very very few players on our team that actually takes the ball to the hole and he is our best 3 point shooter on top of that. He is 6'9' hustles on both ends of the floor and is always moving off the ball to free himself up for a shot! I take him over Holmon, Hogans, Franlin and Edwards any day. But that is just me...1 point
-
Im still waiting for the taller athletic line up of C.J, Williams, Franklin, Mitchel, and Niko.... Or even sway Holmon in there for Franklin and move Mitchel to the 3 considering if he is going to go pro that is where he will have to be...1 point
