  4. Before this board, I never heard about CRAIG JAMES KILLING 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU. Now, whenever I hear about CRAIG JAMES KILLING 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU, I think about this board, and how it helped promote awareness about CRAIG JAMES KILLING 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU. We need to get the word out there and save the hookers.

  5. Muslims recognize Jesus Christ as a prophet. He's in the Koran. 'Allah' is NOT a 'different' God. 'Allah' just means God in the Arabic language. As far as what you see on TV from those super fanatical Muslims...that is not true Islam and unfortunately it gives us a really bad rap and perception to many. Moses is also recognized in the Koran and is considered a prophet.

  7. Tebow isn't squatting on others property, creating a mess, confronting police, raping, overdosing, or blocking hard working everyday Americans from getting to their jobs, which just happen to be in a bank. A pretty terrible analogy, don't you think?

  11. I'm sure you are not alone among those who would heap praise upon someone for doing anything other than celebrating a christian faith. If he were espousing atheism or Muslim faith, there would be a thousand articles about how brave he is to do this in that environment, but because it's Christianity, he is derided and made fun of by media and even other players. To me, he IS doing the most courageous thing by showing his Christianity. Funny that people don't see the double standards in today's society.

  15. KJV Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. Luke 2:2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) Luke 2:3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. Luke 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) Luke 2:5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. Luke 2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Luke 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

  17. What courage he has to stand up as a member of the majority of Americans. I'd be more impressed with any athlete who had the courage to come out as an atheist, or prayed to Allah on the sidelines. That would take some guts.

  18. Christians have to work really hard to feel persecuted in this country. Kudos to you for putting in the effort. I like Tebow a lot -- he's from where I live in Florida and I've been hearing great things about him since he was 16. But he's not mocked for being a Christian. He's mocked for being such a relentless promoter of his religion. Even Kurt Warner thinks he should tone it down: "I'd tell him, 'Put down the boldness in regards to the words, and keep living the way you're living,'" Warner said. "The greatest impact you can have on people is never what you say, but how you live. When you speak and represent the person of Jesus Christ in all actions of your life, people are drawn to that. You set the standard with your actions. The words can come after." http://www.azcentral...bow-advice.html

  19. Kram, you would stay on the bandwagon for a box of Kleenex wearing a North Texas jersey, but I'm sure tony appreciates the reassurance. I agree with a lot of what UNT90 and you just posted. I doubt we're still having these same conversations about Tony and the offense in 2-3 weeks and I'm optimistic last night taught these kids a great deal. You bet your Aston I can't wait to get back out and see them keep improving next week. Oh, and if we are still having these issues in 2-3 weeks, I hope the forum allows for solid, intelligence and constructive criticism.

  21. --C.James might win the GOP nomination... remember this state elected Perry as Gov. (this years "Bum Steer" (again)) who has made so many insane comments that he is an embarrassment to the state including refering to American Revolution occuring in the 16th century. (1776 in 16th century?). I am sure Perry got the support of most educators in the state for this award [considering his knowledge and that he unemployed 1000's of them]. James might lose the TxTech vote though which Perry likely won..
