If UNT beats Tulsa saturday it will be another positive step on the road to re-establishing UNT's program...and another great Saturday for the Mean Green Nation. Side note: UNT will beat Tulsa Saturday so the rest of this is mute!3 points

If we beat Tulsa Saturday then it will be at least another week before UTSA can pass us by. If we lose to Tulsa Saturday then our chances of an SEC or Big 12 invite get more slim.3 points

I saw Derek Thompson yesterday and he was in a walking boot. He was kind of hobbling around but he seemed fine. It was a smaller boot so my guess is he has an ankle injury. I could never tell what he tweaked in the Indiana game.2 points

If we beat Tulsa Saturday I will buy everyone at Lucky Lous with Mean Green apparel and knowledge of the win a drink. If we lose to Tulsa on Saturday I will be looking forward to being an obnoxiously loud fan while FAU's offense is on the field the following weekend!2 points

If UNT beats Tulsa on Saturday, then UNT will be 2-3. If UNT loses to Tulsa on Saturday, then UNT has completed their non-conference schedule.2 points

The Honor Students at the school I teach at made us some pretty cool signs for our classroom doors. So I have a nice SOW with my name on it, what my degree is in and where I graduated from posted outside my classroom. Once inside I have a UNT football helmet on my desk and the 2011 UNT Football poster on my wall, I talk about the greatness of UNT every chance I get to my students and athletes. They are always very interested even though many of them are Baylor fans. (Waco area)2 points

If we beat Tulsa then Coach Mac is a genius and the turn around is happening faster than most people thought. If we lose to Tulsa we demolish FAU at home out of anger for a 1 point loss the week before.2 points

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7032707/chuck-neinas-confident-missouri-tigers-stay-big-12 ----------- He added, "There has been no shortage of interest" from teams wanting to join the (Big 12) conference. "We would hope we would not be at eight," Neinas said. Neinas had said last week that there was "resistance" from some existing members to adding teams from Texas. "I'd say that's changed," he said. -------- I think that could open up a conference spot that UNT could fill.1 point

Solomon Bozemon won POTY for a team that finished 5th in the West. So, it can happen.1 point

We did finish 4th when we should been first, so last year was disappointing until the late run at the tournament. Hoping this year is reversal, so a 4th pick but finish 1st or 2nd.1 point

Texas Longhorn Energy. http://www.texaslonghornsenergy.com/ I just love it when the rich find new ways to get richer......geeezzz. Every time I come across something like this I'm reminded of this scene from Chinatown......starting at the 2:08 point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYMWkRrC7UY I always want to ask these greedy bastards the same question....and I guess the answer would always be the same.1 point

Ok...I'm a JJ Homer, I bleed Green more for JJ, his assistants, and his team over any other UNT sport. However, if we finish 4th I'll be asking for JJ head, or at least that he donate all of his salary and bonus money (if any for 4th place) be donated to charity as a trade off for him keeping his job. I don't agree with 4th, I'm expecting 1st place and NCAA birth. I guaranteed it in previous post. At least others in the Mean Green nation are disappointed to hear 4th in the West also. Just goes to show you that you can print anything. Does this publication believe that Denver will win our conference also? If any of our coach's, staff, or players read this publication I'll bet they're as pissed about is wright up as I am today.1 point

Here are the three things that I think keep us from any serious AQ discussions: We don't play baseball. We don't even have a time-table to add baseball. We wouldn't immediately compete to win the league in any sports. And yes, that includes basketball. Our stadium is very, very nice, but by Big12 standards, it is small- like 20k smaller than the next smallest Big 12 stadium. Potential is good. Realized potential is way better. I think our Athletics Department is a decade away from being a serious contender in the AQ race. And I think that's okay. All we can do is win and improve our brand. Boise proved that conference alone cannot hold you back from being great. The sleeping giant has rested enough, it's time to rise and shine.1 point

I'd imagine they would be running a non-normal train schedule. At least I hope so. That's how I plan to get to that game.1 point

Don't worry we would sell out if we were in the Big 12, and they know potential when they see it. We are moving toward a student body of 45,000 in a very large MSA. At the end of the day neither TCU nor SMU can offer that. We are that sleeping giant!1 point
