Would you like to see UNT in the NCAA final game with UCONN? If yes, your argument is defeated. If no, what are you doing here?8 points

Giving any credence to Criag "I'm a college basketball D-bag" Miller's opinion is like asking Spicoli his opinion about rocket science. The college basketball village idiot started the conversation by saying "I really haven't watched much college basketball this year, but..." Well then, shut the hell up, because whatever opinion you may have is completely uninformed. Then he goes on to say how much better the NBA is talent wise. No Shi%, sherlock. Wow, how did you ever manage to figure that out. THe NBA is great, if you like watching something that is NOT basketball, but entertainment. 4 steps to the basket? Fine, well, for the stars, anyway. Refereeing bordering on fixing games? The NBA is your league. Of course, D-bag Miller is to sports stupid to realize that the NBA is a form of entertainment, not basketball. After the game last night, I told some friends that it sucked that the game was such a defensive battle, because the idiots that don't understand basketball will say "see, this is what happens when a smaller school makes the finals." Thank you Miller for proving your idiocy to me. One of the singularly worst segments I have ever heard on the ticket. Jr. is soooooo the weak link on that morning show. Rant over. PS: Oh, and either of these teams could have taken Jimmy V's N.C. St. team. Of course, all that team did was beat the unbeatable Houston Cougars of Phi Slamma Jamma fame that had 2 future NBA superstars on it's roster. So F'n stupid.8 points

Game is SET for JUNE 11th 3PM at FOUTS FIELD for the 8th annual GMG.com Bowl Flag Football Game. This could very easily be billed as the last "officially sanctioned" football game in Fouts Field...the real Fouts Finale! One format change for this year's game...we will be opening it up to paid staff members from the UNT Athletic Dept. (both male and female) who may want to participate. Not enough staffers available to make it a game of GMG.com vs. Athletic Dept. staff for lots of reasons, so we will just open the rosters to those in the athletic Dept. who would like top play. This year's registration fee remain $25 per player. We will be looking for sponsors for the event as we did last year. If you know of a potential sponsor, please let me know. The beneficiary will be once again the ANDREW SMITH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND. Donations welcome. Please check your schedules and sign up to play as soon as you know you are available...of course additional donations welcome from any and all. I also have an idea for a unique silent auction item that might be of interest to some...more on that later. HERE WE GO...this is going to be great fun! Get your tailgate gear in shape for the after party tailgate extravaganza! CLICK HERE TO DONATE TO THE ANDREW SMITH MEMORIAL FUND!5 points

If you like seeing the same laundry every year, you will hide behind this argument that improved laundry would be a better product... if you like seeing new laundry(and I do), then you are going to say it was an off night for both teams.... scholarship limits and one and dones have watered down the big programs... if butler is not there, it would be an obviously flawed team in familiar laundry...probably. The laundry does NOT improve the play, unless it gives you comfort. Butler earned their spot. I am getting pretty tired of people whining because a big name did not win the spot. How about this.... win your freakin games and earn your spot. That is the purpose behind a tournament to begin with.... jeez almighty.5 points

Though I don't play or attend these events I've got to give KRAM credit for working so hard for the scholarship fund.3 points

It's not the badges that are nerdy, it's the fact that we all spend so much time posting on a message board. Kinda like bragging about your masterbation practices in public. Being that I like dating women, I'm saying no to the name tag with the gomeangreen.com name on it idea.3 points

My point with Jr. Miller is that he states that he barely followed college basketball this year, then spouts off his opinion. If he followed college basketball, then I might be able to accept his point of view, but since he admittedly doesn't, I don't.1 point

While at Georgia Southern, Brent and the other QB's worked together to help each other be the best football player that they could be. I would expect nothing less from Brent. Does he want to be the started? Yes he does, but if Derek wins the starting job I can tell you that Brent is Man enought to suport Derek. Brent knows the team comes first. little me, BIG TEAM.1 point

Everyone here hates Miller because he's an alum who bags on the school. I get it. But he isn't the sports moron you guys make him out to be. I actually enjoy listening to his Mavs perspective knowing he isn't a fan and is looking at it from a different vantage point. The same could be said about our program. Don't slot him as an ignorant weak member of the Musers but instead view him as the typical UNT alum who's opinion we need to understand better. Or not.1 point

If we're going to do anything screwy with our field, we could do like Oregon did with theirs years ago, two alternating shades of green every five yards. The darker hunter green would satisfy those who liked that shade and the lighter kelly/toothpaste/seafoam green would placate those who like that color. Yard markers could be white and the end zones, black w/green trim. Now everybody's happy. Right???1 point

THIS is how fishing should be done. I applaud eppster for stepping up his game.1 point

Miller is a homer for seeing the same teams playing for the championship every year. Frankly, I could care less about story lines that date back to the 1800s and that how these 2 schools have played each other 1000 times and that they are amazingly 499-501 in the series.1 point

Open the mind Eppy. Ladies sports are not as thrilling all of the time, but those 2 games yesterday were really good. Hearing the Aggie coach say, "this is what woman's basketball needs" is absolutely correct. The domination by UCONN and TN was not good for the game. I still believe it is a different game and don't equate UCONN's run to UCLA's back in the day, but the athletes put in just as much work as the men do. I also believe cheerleaders are athletes with the amount of work they put in. Very proud of my neice from San Antonio O'Connor who received a scholarship to Penn State for Women's Volleyball. She starts PSU in the fall, and I will be tuning into the Big 10 Network to see her play. What is really cool is that if the defending national champion Nittany Lions can get back to the final four later this year, she would get to play in front of tons of family and friends in the Alamodome. My cousin is tall, strong, smart and athletic and her hard work is going to reap some benefits. So go TAMU! Even if it is only to see the female Charles Barkley on the court, it is worth a tune in. She is a beast! Bring back another championship to Texas! GMG1 point

I know this is an old topic but I thinking about while watching the national championship tonight. I'm cool with Nike uniforms if they look like Butler's. A lot of people say that Butler's uniforms are ugly but they have a very classic tradition look in my opinion. Just throwing that out there.1 point

Maybe a digital nametag that can keep track of post count so we know whether or not we really need to talk to so and so?1 point

George Costanza: Name tags! Name tags! What kind of an idiot thinks anybody would be interested in an idea like that? Frank Costanza: I don't think it's so bad. People should wear name tags. Everyone would be a lot friendlier. "Hello, Sam." "How are you doing, Joe?"1 point

Name tags couold be worn with a t-shirt, a polo shirt, on the lapel of a sport jacket, or on a ball cap. A name tag won't get so dirty a quick wipe with a paper towel can't clean it. And lastly, ONE SIZE FITS ALL. No need to ask it the name tag is 100% cotton, etc.1 point

You're not changing the style you are adapting to new technology that is available. If you dont want to adapt and change to something better then go back and use the typerwriter that was available back in the 70's when Wooden and Bear were coaches. Then you talk about unt history, why dont we go back to new balance because that what we were wearing in 2001 when we won the New Orleans Bowl. The reason why we wont is because Nike makes the best or for people that dont like nike it is the most commonly used athletic gear/apparel. Like what someone said before the Woman's team uses Nike and Ive never heard anyone complain about their uni's. Im sorry your comment makes no sense with creating history because you dont start creating history with a uniform. You start it by how you play the game and how much you win/ dominate the competition. Edit: Out of all the NCAA Division 1 programs 99% of them use one athletic sponsor.1 point
