Some of these have already been mentioned: 1. Could the future stadium gift shop have game-worn equipment and jerseys for sale like Texas State and others do? 2. Will Bonnie Brae be widened before the 2011 season? The entrance off it, and the TXDOT barrier storage yard, detracts from the Mean Green Village's appearance. 3. What is the status of a possible pedestrian bridge over I-35 to the Fouts parking lots and/or shuttles? 4. Timeline for a Baseball program; will it involve Title IX balancing or mainly funding and facility issues? 5. Pres. Rawlins indicated he wanted to see more NT Athletics marketing into DFW, is that in future plans? 6. Does UNT have a standing offer to join the WAC or would we consider such an offer? Beyond the SBC what is UNT's future conference goals and is the consultant's report part of determining this direction? Has the SBC asked Notre Dame to join, or why not (ha)? 7. Is this where you pictured UNT Athletics in 2010; which areas are better or worse? 8. Beyond more season tickets and donations, what can the Mean Green Nation do for you to help?4 points

Is testing positive for PHDs necessarily a bad thing? If so, I'd say the North Texas English department is far dirtier than any cycling team.2 points

As bad as he sucked balls under the increased scrutiny of his last attempts, I'd say yes. The guy's a douche. Anyone spending that much time with Matthew McConehey has d-bag written all over him.2 points

I know that this is a question that has been answered before and many of us would like confirmation that answer has not changed. However, I see zero benefit in publicly acknowledging that a 7-win ultimatum exists.2 points

I think it is because of all the TSSM talk of football dominance. NT just wants to be associated with such a rising program. Based on football boosts, I would imagine at least 1,000 fans traveling to Denton and a capacity crowd in San Marcos.2 points

We are so lucky to have a fan that has dedicated his time and money to providing all of us with such a wonderful fan website. Harry keeps the board updated, writes articles, does pod casts, and still manages to keep his cool through all the hijinks and shenanigans on this sucker. Thank you Harry, the board has come a long way since the old Paradise board... I appreciate you. One of these days, we are going to get you the Spirit Award from UNT :/1 point

We don't have to deliver much at all. The school gets a tiny percentage of what everyone uses. It costs the energy supplier a fee that most are paying to someone anyway. NT might as well get on the receiving end of such a fee! I just forwarded the article to my nephew who is one of the higher ups with Green Mountain Energy. Mean Green Power from Green Mountain sounds like a winner!1 point

Absolutely. On that note, I would like to ask him his thoughts, as he looks back on his time at NT, on the accomplishments he and his staff have made. Of course there have been bumps along the way, but he has accomplished more than any other AD NT's ever had. A big thank you from the Mean Green Nation is well deserved.1 point

When will the public phase of the stadium fundraising program be unveiled and will UNT be working with a professional "outside" fundraiser to help the project along. Now that the stadium project is a reality and well underway, what is the next capital improvement/facilities project being considered for UNT? How are season ticket sales going this year? Any numbers to report? Has there been an increase in season ticket sales for football this season over last season? I would also add that a word of "thanks" to RV should be given as well as peppering him with question after question. GO MEAN GREEN!1 point

coaches come and go. it is just a business for most, little loyalty. fans are the ones stuck here longterm dealing with the fallout from their mess when they leave.1 point

I may be off base here, but I think Green P1 was being sarcastic. The timing sucks, Lefty is gone, don't want him back after doing this twice and I welcome Coach Bryant and think he will do one heck of a job.1 point

After they pulled that, we had Rice alumni on the board apologizing for it. Even they thought the MOB went a little over the line against us.1 point

I look at it is : we will now have a coach who's heart is 100% into it & ready to prove himself vs. one who was good , but also knew that his chances of being here beyond this year were slim thus making his heart not 100% into it. Best of luck & welcome aboard coach Bryant1 point

This is probably hands down our best coach we have had over the past few years. I can't blame him. All the coaches will probably be looking for a job next year anyways. He has job security , more $ & is in a place he is familiar with. He did a great job here & I wish him the best. No need to bash a coach for leaving.Coaches come and go , it's the nature of the business. I guarantee Tulsa could offer every current UNT coach the exact same position over there along w/ more $$ and everyone would take it. Believe it or not the world doesn't rotate around just little ol UNT. Some need to realize that just because we are getting a new stadium & fees that it doesn't automatically mean we are going to start winning games , getting better recruits & have coaches stick around.1 point

I really hope everyone who is screaming for baseball will put their pocketbooks where there "I wants" are. I have no problem with UNT adding baseball, but there sure better be a bunch more folks than the one designated "big donor", (who may or may not still be a viable option) willing to support the team, and I don't just mean by buying a few season tickets. So, are those who continually clamor for baseball willing to step up and help make it happen? I'd throw a little into the pot, but baseball isn't my thing so I would not be considered one of the prime donors. I'll do what I can, but what about all you guys who think the sun rises and sets on the fact that UNT needs baseball????? To make it happen UNT needs a decent stadium, the money for equipment and scholarships, a fix for title IX issues and then money for on-going support. RV will not add the program or even consider adding it unless and until he has a good handle on where the funding will come for multi-years going forward. I hope that funding is there for UNT.0 points

I had to look that one up "Sky King" ran from the 40's to the 50's as both a radio and TV series, I don't think I ever saw the show. Though it would have had to be a rerun for me, my shelf life started in the 60's.0 points

Last time? It happens every time we play a non-conference FBS team (minus the cinci chic-filas). Most fans are over the "respectable showing." Especially against a team so lowly regarded in FBS. Hell, even on NCAA 11, Rice has D's across the board. UNT has C/C-. Even NCAA 11 thinks we should win the pillow fight -- and we will have home field.0 points

My beef is the timing of it all. I don't fault a person for doing better for themselves or their family, but I don't think you up and leave a few days prior to fall practice. Lefty wouldn't have a difficult time finding work after this season if he needed to. Besides, Graham is a douche.0 points

You guys calling him sorry are freakin' nuts. It's obvious job security was a major factor. Dodge will be gone after this year, so where does that leave him?? Seriously, Dodge was all but fired at last years end. What do you think the coaching staff went through during that very short and bizarre period?? Why take a chance and go through that again??? Don't blame the guy one bit. Besides, he's on the inside and an experienced coach that knows what this team is capable of. His glasses obviously aren't tinted as deep green as some of you here.0 points

Thanks for plugging me NT80, i do enjoy all the +1s I can get.0 points

How disappointing. That's the second time he left UNT for Tulsa. I don't want him back after this slap in the face. Wonder if any line coaches at Southlake want to move up into the college ranks?-1 points
-
If this were after the season, I probably wouldn't agree with you since given Brewster's age, he could probably use some more experience elsewhere before coming back home. Plus, I would want him back when we had more certainty and stability in the future of our program. (i.e. coaching staff). But imagine the energy he would bring that would help lift the shroud of disappointment the linemen have with their coach now running out on them. He has some skins from his days here, and he would work extra hard to "rescue" this program because I know he loves it. And as for Leftwich worrying about his own skin, what about the freshmen, sophmores, and juniors who have to play here next year regardless of what happens this upcoming season? It is just not right, Leftwich is young enough in his career to have rolled the dice and not quit. Tulsa is not that big of a jump in the college football landscape right now. Yes, I know they kicked our butts, but it is not the up and coming program like it was a few years ago. The 6 months of extra money, if any, can't be that much. I think this is a very self centered, short sighted decision on Leftwich's part.-1 points
-
The increase in money would have to be very substantial to justify his quitting on the other coaches and most importantly his players at this stage. I think it would almost have to double. He is saying, without speaking any words, that he does not believe that this team is going to turn around this year, thus securing his job as a coach at UNT for next season. He is getting out while the getting is good for his own neck, imho. To heck with the team concept. I think it is a very self centered and selfish decision.-1 points

A couple of things bother me. Did Lefty leave Tulsa when Graham arrived? If not, why was he availible? And then there is this unrelated issue. Lefty and every other coach on the planet. Why the PHk do you demand every freaking day that we be MEN and then in the media you call us KIDS. I hate your coach speak and you are a prik. ROT. We gave you another chance and you do this? When Tulsa sends you packing again, enjoy Nacanowhere. BTW, if this post gets me banned, it was well worth it. Even if it was for life.-1 points

For him to leave when he did, IS sorry. And its the second freaking time he did this. He knows what we pay. If its going to be a problem, then don't come back here the second time.-1 points

What are you talking about, by my definition "no game is a must-win"? We know what the bar is for this season--7 wins. Any potential loss that would eliminate the possibility of 7 wins becomes a "must-win." So tell me, what is your definition of a must-win?-1 points
