Not really. Lots of - perhaps most - people end up coaching or at least helping teams other than those where they went to school. Darrell Royal went to OU. Switzer went to Arkansas. Hayden went to Baylor. At our game this weekend, a friend was talking to an elderly gentleman who had been an assistant coach with Switzer at OU who is doing what I believe to be volunteer coaching/advising to our team.

He has been a loyal supporter of North Texas. Two of his sons played football here. So what if he was visiting UT and giving out some advice. He is a coach by profession, after all.

I saw Joe at the Florida Atlantic game. My wife and I were walking in to the game, downing our beers and Joe asks my wife "does your mama know you're drinking that beer?"

An amazing supporter of this program, In my opinion anyone who donates, attends any games or even anyone who stays out in the parking lot to tailgate and not enter the game is doing their part.....We need as much support as possible.
