Hey everyone. Here's the final details of the bus to Austin per Athletics and the Pit Crew leadership:

North Texas athletics will provide a bus for the game next Wednesday at Austin. The total cost for BOTH bus ride there and back and ticket is $35. There are only 48 seats on the bus so it will be a first come, first serve on getting your money in. Money will be collected in the SGA office (320S student union). The money has to be cash and is due by 11am Monday, December 3rd. Someone will be in the SGA office today till 5pm. I will be in the SGA office Monday at 8am. You can come by at either of those times.

The bus will leave from the ticket office of Fouts Field at 1:30 Wendesday December 5th and will return directly after the end of the game. The bus will be handicap accessible. Shoot me a message if you have any questions.

I'm available this weekend to meet you and collect funds if you want to get in on this. I can meet you in Denton; no I can't meet you in Dallas. I checked with Athletics. As they're the ones putting together the bus trip itself, they need full payment by Monday in order to reserve it. I know some of you are coming from Dallas and beyond, and I pressed them to allow promises to pay on Wednesday, but they said money needs to be in-hand on Monday. If someone in the Denton area can front you folks coming from distances, we can make this work. Otherwise, you'll need to come up here to Denton to get a spot.

If you need us to work with you, please let me know. We'll do what we can!

No, not a scam. It's still on if we can get enough people. It's being sponsored by Athletic Promotions.

FilmerJ, please ask the right people, namely me, before you go yelling on the board and calling me a liar. I have no motivation to deceive the alumni, and I'll appreciate a little more consideration and respect in the future. Thanks.

I'll try to get an extension on the deadline. If you can at least promise today to pay on Wednesday, I can try to reserve a spot. Call the SGA office at 940-565-3850 or PM me here.

It's interesting that you'd believe the uncle of a friend of a guy you know from a message board over the Student Body President of the University who is also the administrator and funder of the Pit Crew. When it comes to sporting events, basketball games, parking for tailgating, or any other information alumni need to know when they come to the campus to attend games, the information that I've posted has historically been accurate, and I've fought for you all when things come up that you don't like. It's my pleasure to help you all out and let you know what the students are doing because we want to participate with you and we want you to feel comfortable participating with us.

That being said, I'd ask for more than $35 if I was going to scam you all. ;)

Easy pal... wasn't calling you a liar, just saying they didn't know anything about it, i don't know you and there are way to many rumors on this board... and like I said before, I FORGOT TO TURN MY CAPS LOCK OFF!!!!!!!!! BECUASE WORK REQUIRE CAPS!!! AHHHHHHHHH!

I think bus idea didn't have enough participants, but some of us are caravaning down to Austin tomorrow. Tickets are super cheap (I'll have an exact figure later today), and it should be a fun trip. You're all welcome to join us!

Sorry the bus thing didn't work out. It was super short notice, even for us. We'll see if we can get a bus full of rowdy green folks for a good game next semester.

Here's the latest information:

We've talked to Athletics Promotions about getting a discount on tickets, and they said to call the Texas ticket office. If you have ten or more people, tickets are $6. Individual tickets for the game are $10. The North Texas fan section is Section 92. The Texas ticket office phone number is 1-800-982-2386. Hopefully we will see you there! Sorry for all the confusion.

Just another in a long line of "missed opportunities" for UNT to move forward into the BIG TIME. As long as we think and ACT small we will always be considered small...that's by other conferences, other teams and POSSIBLE CONTRIBUTORS TO A NEW STADIUM, etc., etc. Wow...how bad can it be when the athletic dept. won't set up a bus trip for a game with Texas???? I guess they are way too busy deciding on which bowl to accept after that 2-9 season! The fans seem to be getting behind the program...why doesn't the athletic dept. and the Mean Green Club do the same?????

Shame...just a shame. And an easy promo too...we did it years ago...I rode the bus down to Texas! It can be done.....just another in a long line of "missed opportunities". Too bad..

And, I might add....where were the Exes in this deal???? The Exes did a bus to the OU football game, why not try for a bus to the Texas BB game????

Just wondering. <_<

      Daily had three runs near the 50 all game and all 3 came with the game at 7-3 and before the 4th quarter. Are you're really suggesting they were draining the clock up 4 with 20+ minutes to go instead of expanding their lead to two possessions? Our defense was not shut down, sure. No G5 defense really ever is against the service academies if you think death by paper cut for 10 plays without allowing a score doesn't count. Your statements that our defense couldn't force turnovers for long periods of play and even lucked out on a fumble are asinine. Army doesn't committ foolish turnovers. They've had 3 turnovers all year, 2 of which were this past Saturday in Denton. That's not luck. You don't want to give credit where it's due and that's fine. I'll move on to next week. You can keep ignoring the jobs our defense and special teams (sniffed out the fake punt) did. If our offense were truly elite, we'd have at least scored 1 touchdown. Couldn't even do that.

      Why were the concession lines so damn long?

      I think the problem with the line that I was in was how slow the concession workers were. It took 3 to 5 minutes for each costumer. I assumed everyone was ordering chicken cordon bleu or something. Then I got my turn and had to wait 3-5 minutes for a diet coke, a bag of popcorn, and a beer.

      I was there at 730 to tailgate and still missed half of the first quarter. shit ton of folks...long lines when I decided to tear down the tailgate. be happy...so many people there. you want old school north Texas and can walk in just before game time...cool....that ain't how it is now dude. deal with it...and enjoy
