Why do I say that? We have the first poll of the season.

Coaches Poll

1. North Carolina (10)

2. UCLA (12)

3. Memphis (8)

4. Kansas (1)

5. Georgetown

6. Louisville

7. Tennessee

8. Michigan St.

9. Indiana

10. Washington St.

11. Duke

12. Marquette

13. Oregon

14. Texas A&M

14. Gonzaga

16. Texas

17. Arizona

18. USC

19. Arkansas

20. Pittsburgh

21. Stanford

22. Kentucky

23. Southern Ill.

24. N.C. State

25. Villanova

Any early Final Four predictions? I like UCLA, Louisville, North Carolina, and Michigan State. That could change after the first week of the season though.

I love that new season feelin!

I think some of your best basketball teams will be up in the Pacific Northwest this season...Gonzaga, Washington, Wazzou St. and Stanford should all be really good...and I'm gonna say atleast two make the final four...the Zags and Oregon...but then again I've never won a dime in any bar bracketts I've ever entered b/c I like underdogs too much. Interesting to see that Okie State didn't make it. Very well could be an upset in the making in Denton if we are able to get off to a nice start.

I didn't put up the AP Poll, but the Cowboys didn't even make the "Others recieving votes" list on either poll.

Thats because they're very beatable...especially early in the year as they try to figure out who is going to pick up the scoring for Mario Boggan and JamesOn Curry...Byron Eaton will try, fail and then eat a bucket of chicken...Obi Muonelo will jump over the basket and accidently score 10 points....Terrell Harris is solid for another 10. And the only real post pressence, Kenny Cooper, is suspended.

This has the potential to be a great way for UNT to start off the season...build lots of healthy momentum before heading down to UT.
