As I mentioned in an earlier post...DONE DEAL! Congratulations to all who worked so hard and for so long to bring this to reality. Thanks to the students who had the foresight to vote in favor of the stadium. This is a great day for the Mean Green Nation!

Got to give a big THANK YOU TO RV too...he had the vision and the fortitude to see it through. We have had many AD's who talked a good fight, but didn't "walk the walk". RV said he would do all he could to make it happen and he did...and he is still working to make it a great stadium for the fans of the MEAN GREEN. Thanks to all.

GO MEAN GREEN! See you at the W KY game Saturday.

Any word on anything spoken at the hearing ? Was there someone there to speak for or against ? Did the members "high five" each other when the motion passed ? Anything ?

GO MEAN GREEN

The DRC article said that several residents from the Denia neighborhood were making the trip down, but that neither pro or against sides were allowed to speak.

I will also note this tidbit of positivity (for KRAM) about the stadium in the DMN "College Briefs" section of the sportspage...

...."UNT officials hope to break ground next month on a facility that will seat more than 30,000 and open for the 2011 season".... :)

30,001???
