Looks like they kept the old video montage and put new graphics and voice over on it. Frugal and effective.

Not impressed. You'd think with a big RTV department we could get a pretty awesome commercial considering how big this game is for us

So we should spend a lot of money on the ad that we, then, cannot spend on placing it for viewers?

Bingo. I'd rather all of the spending go towards putting this on during airtime where lots of people will see it.

As someone who has done video for a living, I like it. Repurposing is a way to get something out quickly and cost effectively. While we on this board might have seen it before, most folks have not.

Want it to go viral? Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE go to click on the YouTube button to go to the YouTube site and "like" it. That's the little thumbs up symbol. Next, everyone and I mean EVERYONE share it on your Facebook pages, your Twitter accounts, your LinkedIn pages, Google+ and even just email the link to everyone you know! Google will increase it's ranking based on sharing, then likes and then views. The more of each, the more likely it will start appearing on YouTube's suggested videos.

By the way, Wednesday I'm speaking at the Dallas Digital Summit as part of a panel: Online Video : the Secrets of Viral Views. Following my suggestions above will have a huge impact if and only if a LOT of us do it!

We've stuffed other online ballot boxes before! This one can really help the program. Honestly, it really can help the program!

Great! We need a lot of shares and likes.

Folks I'm not suggesting this is the best video of all time, but it is the one that's up. I would hope there will be more to come, but if this one gets little to no response why should they invest time in another?

Frankly, I'm impressed that they reacted so quickly. Re-purposed or not, they got it out as soon as the facts were known. :thumbsu:

Now there is time to put a more specific product out. A tip of the hat to all involved. :goodjob:

The video is fine, but I would have used some footage from "the Stand". When will it begin airing on T.V.? The Dallas Cowboys are playing Monday Night Football on ESPN right now.

I should have guessed it would only take the first post for someone to complain.

He was complementing it. Holy Shizz, why so defensive?

So far I've seen the MGBB commercial, but no bowl commercial yet on Monday Night Football.

My bad. I thought he said "frugal and ineffective." Sorry Emmitt.

I also think with more time the AD will come up with alternate videos.

Saw the ad run 2 or 3 times this morning on channel 8 during early morning news. Izzy even gave a quick shout out and made a comment about Smatresk leaving UNLV to take the same spot at UNT.
