Why are they being installed in the area for the indoor practice facility?

Because wind power is more important than the indoor training of athletes. Maybe they'll construct the indoor practice facility at Research Park. That's how UNT thinks.

They are being installed in the drainage collection area between the practice fields and Bonnie Brae. How is this is the space for the indoor practice facility?

I think the plans called for Bonnie Brae to run directly through the indoor practice facility, so this is clearly encroaching on the indoor practice facility's footprint.

Windmills should not be within five miles of campus. In fact, they shouldn't even be.

The only plans that I've seen called for the indoor practice facility to be between the Darrell Dickey practice fields and Bonnie Brae. Where would you have them put it?

In the open field between the Darrell Dickey practice fields and the Victory Parking Lot.

Isn't that where some of our Greeks party during the games? We dont want to alienate them.

All you have to do is nickname the practice facility "The Parthenon" and it will be a non-issue.

The only logical place for the facility would be on one or more of the intramural fields between the Dickey practice fields and the tennis courts. The area between the practice fields and Bonnie Brea is not large enough to build half of an indoor facility, not to mention the fact that it is a drainage area.

That assumes that the "greeks" know anything about Greek history.

Good find, Joe...

It answers a major question for many of us I'm sure.

North Texas is just going to have to find a monster-sized can of 3-In-One oil, that's all! Piece of cake!

GMG!
