Watch Coach Mac dance the fight song at the end of the video

Hilarious. He is so white:

Go to 8:15 in the video and watch the next contestant on dancing with the stars.

Awesome! And let me add this ... I LOVE that higher angle on the camera we get versus what's shown on TV.

Wow great video -- thanks for posting. Whoever did this video did an awesome job - perhaps some of the best footage quality wise and the camera man has football intellect and can follow the game better than most I've seen. I wish we could have this setup for our home games! Just outstanding production value!

A couple of thoughts. Man there were bright spots in that game, if you can't see it you are blind.

Cantly had a monster spin move on the sack that Obi was credited with. If he could only so that ALL of the time.

Bellazin is really starting to come on.

JIM JIM -- wow what a huge play to get the first down on that long run. I like his field vision, He's fun to watch.

Of course the Thompson TD pass to Chancellor was a thing of beauty!

It's hard to believe how important Derek Akunne has become...he's one of the best defenders we have on the field and he's only a sophomore.

The play where Jeremy brown cutr block the rusher, caught the pass and took it 20-yards down the field was awesome.

Looks like Olen is back and took the setback and used it as fuel for his game. Real good sign because we will need him.

Funny? I'd say stupid and/or disrespectful. Maybe I'm just too old, but I think this is a dumb tradition some of the students have started up and thinking it's funny is on par with 2nd graders giggling on the playground because someone said poo poo. IMO.

I don't think I've ever seen a Mean Green sports team sing the fight song like that... chills. That was the best part.

THIS. I'm posting this everywhere. Spread the word that our boys have as much pride and spirit as they want us to believe. AWESOME!

Absolutely loved it!!!!!! Trice is the man. Some of the other players might want to study up on the words 'cause they were kind of just moving their lips until the U.N.T. parts.

I could easily see the students and some alumni wanting to get in on that action with the team after the game, maybe in the North end zone. That could definitely help build some connection between the team and fans. AWESOME!

The team likes it and has said it is a tradition that shouldnt change. And its not that students do it cause its funny, sorry for the students having some sort of modern day school spirit (like it or not thats what it is). You'd be surprised to hear what big time football student sections chant...

Yeah, I like "school spirit" that makes it look like UNT doesn't provide an education to its students. We can find better words to use that don't reflect poorly on our school. And I don't really care if the players like it. There are 100k+ alumni that have passed through the school before any of these players and these kinds of embarrassing acts make the rest of us look bad. You can't let a bunch of 18-22 year olds make all the decisions about what is best for everyone.

Yeah? What?

Went to several Longhorns games when in HS and my freshman - sophomore years (shamefully) and the part where they're supposed to sing "Hail, Hail, the gang's all here!", all of the students around me were yelling: "Give 'em hell, Give 'em hell, make 'em eat $#!%!"

So, there's that.

They used to kick students out of games for yelling things a whole lot milder than that.

Yeah - I get this pisses people off, but I'd be willing to bet that just about any school in the country when sang by the student body, has altered lyrics. Are you guys kidding me with the "off on a tagent" on this? Be EXCITED they actually sang the fight song! This sounds bad, but when Mac looks at Trice and tells him to start the fight song, I was worried he was gonna shrug his shoulders. I was SO impressed he KNOWS it! Nothing at all against Trice, I'm just saying that as little as 10-15 years ago I guarantee nobody on the football team would have known the lyrics to the fight song. Speaks volumes about school pride.

I note that you felt you had to disguise the "eat $3!%!" rather than use the exact word.

That is exactly what I was hoping would occur.

If you have to disguise the language on a fan board because it is inappropriate, don't you also think that same language is inappropriate used as part of student chants........and especially as part of the university fight song?

Exhibiting "class" is timeless - I can curse with the best of 'em, but not at the top of my lungs and not in a public location - and CERTAINLY not while singing the university fight song.

But I guess it is to each his own - but it is pretty classless.

Loved it. "Who wants a piece of Houston's ass?". Greatness.

I watched most of the first half on line. Horrible television directing. When the ball is snapped you are mandated to be on the game camera (high 50 or alternating 35's depending on camera setup). This was routinely missed. My directors get their ass chewed when this happens. I was asked to work the Houston game but was already booked. I hope to work a NT game soon.
