So an average staff just got averager??

Seriously, good to hear and glad DT will be close by and able to continue to participate in the UNT game day experience.

He is welcome at our tailgate anytime.

Really cool to hear! Always cool to see our players make good use of the degrees and experience they got here and transition it into the workplace. Seems like a good fit, with Nathan Tune.

This story really makes me happy. Good news for a good guy. Cool to have one of our own at Denton High.

Just curious, what did he major in? If it wasn't Kinesiology, maybe this is for the short-term while he continues to pursue getting an opportunity in the NFL.

Regardless - Go, Derek!

I think it's great. It's another person that help keep an eye for talented recruits.

Man, if there is anything that can help us crack the ice on recruiting the Denton big boys into Apogee, this is it. Get our alumni involved as coaches in Denton.

That all starts when the first step foot on campus as students: are we welcoming them and making them feel like Denton can be their second home?

...looks like DT loves little D.

If only the 'Denton Big Boys' played at Denton High...

Derek at my old high school... I sure like this one

The skilll to max out your talent is a skill that is exactly what you need to teach the kids, I can imagine Derek being becoming a very good coach down the line.

Also: the more of our alumni are coaching in texas high schools the better.

We are gonna take a few players from DHS this cycle.... and you're gonna love em... whether you want to or not. Also DHS will not stay down forever. Having UNT coaches on that staff will pay off.
