What a damn game! Best I've seen from UNT women in a while... going down to the wire. 65 - 63 UNt with about 47 seconds left.

Fixed it for ya.

Rick

Fix it all you want but you can't ignore what the previous regime did for the women's basketball program.

Oh, I agree with ya.

I think once the word gets out around campus and someone within our AD dept actually puts a sollid promotion together more will come.

Wow , just wow.

These aren't AQ teams that are having bad years either.

Bama is 7 - 3 w/ wins over Kansas ( 7 - 1 ) & Seton Hall ( 5 - 4)

Oregon State is 6 - 1 & outside of their game w/ UNT, has won by a margin of 30.6 points !!!

Exactly. Bartalotta said until Bama beat Kansas last Sunday they were right outside the top 25.

Great start for the ladies. With our exceptional compliance in womens sports it would be great to have an outstanding womens bball program that is really good and can be regularly ranked at some point.

Those conference play WBB/MBB doubleheaders in a few weeks are starting to look like a must-see event.

Another terrific game by the girls. The thing that Alston has accomplished is amazing, it is not one or two girls; nearly every returning player is playing far ahead of where they were. Hankins tonight had her by far best game at NT. Godbolt and Hudson were held down tonight by a very good Alabama defense but other rose to the challenge. Turro as usual was very good and there were big contributions by McCoy, Evans, Blakely, Stanley and Nelson; a real team effort.

Also though the crowd was into it, and the band was great in their support of the team.

I was just thinking about that. No longer will we have to 'wait until the men's game'.

WOW! Great job ladies! These young women are getting UNT on the national radar with their game and it's great to see another women's sport getting such positive notice. Looks like the crowds are growing as well as the enthusiasm. These ladies are earning the right to be noticed and to see some big crowds at home...great stuff ladies....well done. 7-2...WOW!

It was a great game and fun atmosphere. My kids loved it and we are planning to go to more women's games. I really liked the intro with the smoke and running out of the tunnel. nice touch.

Props to the pep band...they were really into the game and were vocal the entire time.
