I hope I see you in this hat later on today. I can hardly contain myself. How long has it been since we were 1 and 0?

Oh Rick...is this a second helmet or your primary repainted?

svWTVIY.jpg

It's the fourth I've owned, but actually the fifth I've made.

The first helmet at top was the first and has the 2002 New Orleans Bowl Championship team's autographs on it. So I couldn't paint over them.

The second one from the top, the Dodge era helmet, was actually the '03-'06 helmet and I painted over it white for the Dodge era but it now has Abner Haynes' autograph on it, so I couldn't paint over that one either.

So for the current one i bought a third helmet, and for the Worm helmet I bought a fourth.

I love the Worm helmet and was completely shocked at the response it received from so many. It's by far the best one I've made yet. If I could paint as good as GreenP1 it would be even that much better. Still, I may make it my annual Homecoming helmet from here on. It's just too nice to never get it off the shelf again.

Helmets look great Rick. It would be interesting to see what the won loss record of each of those helmets is. I know they've been to a lot of games over the years. I know that script helmet saw a lot of wins and bowl games.

Rick, I saw you and SE looking over the Model A before kickoff. Thoughts?

Whoever painted it and restored the interior did a damn nice job.

The kids told me its running but isn't road ready because of the brakes.

Well ok,... It's only been like 21 months since they let Dr. Frankstien's Engineering dept do their thing with it. You would think they could get the brakes done? Alll they consist of are leather straps for pads and some cable and pressure springs to adjust.

But looks wise...it's first rate all the way.

Yeah, I thought it looked great. A lot of folks taking pictures with it all game, as well.

Mine's not as fancy of a job as FFR's... but it gets the job done on the worksite. You can guess what it says on the other side.

Wait so someone fixed it up again?

There goes my idea for having the guys from Fast and Loud take a swing at it.....
