With Harry's blessing, I'm making this thing its own thread. We've been talking for quite some time over on the "No more heckling" thread about ways to put loud fans in the section that Conference USA has deemed can no longer be allocated as student seating.

We've set up a campaign to raise at minimum, $10,000, maxing out at $24,000 because that would be the entire section. I set the minimum at $10,000 because honestly, for fewer than 100 seats, this isn't going to have the desired effect.

So if the campaign doesn't meet the minimum goal, nobody's card gets charged, we all take our balls and go home, no harm, no foul.

If the campaign reaches $10,000, I will collect the money via crowdtilt and purchase the tickets through the recent alumni program via Eddie Delgado.

I will assume no responsibility for ticket distribution. Christopher Walker has (by nomination) volunteered to be master distributor of tickets. I figure, he's young, he's got the connections, he lives in Denton, and his beard is glorious. What could possibly go wrong there?

The campaign is set to end mid-day on July 27th. We've got 29 days, ladies and gentlemen. Lets fill apogee and keep our little home field advantage alive and well!

Is that 30-40 since the account has been set up or 30-40 in general? I will be donating 100 to the fund and I will be buying 2 for myself right after I become a "young alum" this upcoming Thursday.

The ticket office has sold 30-40 of their own.

Oh ok I see. A lot will be sold mid-late August. Nothing to be concerned about as of now, it's just the nature of selling tickets. I am so pumped for this season to start. I've been watching way too much game replays on the big10 network in my free time. Longhorn network appears to have the 2005 natty championship game & this years UT-OU game on rerun for the last month and a half.

If you don't get to 10,000 you should still try to help out and buy that amount of seats. We are almost at 9 seats, even that helps out a little.

The campaign won't tilt until 10,000, and I'm not going to reneg on the terms I set forth. That would be a gross breach of fiduciary responsibility on my part. If it doesn't tilt, and you want to go through this thread after the end date and contact people via pm, that's your business, but I'm not going to just flip the switch and charge a bunch of credit cards when the contingencies weren't met.

That is totally fine. I wasn't saying that they should but if they wanted to. I wasn't expecting you to since you stated the facts from the beginning. :)

There are two contributions pending for $100 each, so we're effectively at 1076. 10% after two days. Get the word out.

How do you know they are pending, does it show on your end?

Verbal pledges on facebook from individuals I trust to come through.

Think that we should turn it into one of those mavs pre game deals, where kids get all dressed up or painted up and go crazy and that's how 10 tickets are given away every game
