With Harry's blessing, I'm making this thing its own thread. We've been talking for quite some time over on the "No more heckling" thread about ways to put loud fans in the section that Conference USA has deemed can no longer be allocated as student seating.

We've set up a campaign to raise at minimum, $10,000, maxing out at $24,000 because that would be the entire section. I set the minimum at $10,000 because honestly, for fewer than 100 seats, this isn't going to have the desired effect.

So if the campaign doesn't meet the minimum goal, nobody's card gets charged, we all take our balls and go home, no harm, no foul.

If the campaign reaches $10,000, I will collect the money via crowdtilt and purchase the tickets through the recent alumni program via Eddie Delgado.

I will assume no responsibility for ticket distribution. Christopher Walker has (by nomination) volunteered to be master distributor of tickets. I figure, he's young, he's got the connections, he lives in Denton, and his beard is glorious. What could possibly go wrong there?

The campaign is set to end mid-day on July 27th. We've got 29 days, ladies and gentlemen. Lets fill apogee and keep our little home field advantage alive and well!

Spent 50$ It's not much, but...

It's awesome is what it is.

On further note, an old former VP of the student body friend of mine posted the CrowdTilt and my Facebook message on it to all her relevant peeps. We'll see what comes from that.

If this happens it should definitely get recognized as the GMG.com section.

There may be a rather public bump happening Sunday.

But if each of you would like to email a few folks, it would do no harm.

Success breeds success. As supported by the stats of any online crowdfunding venture, the more people initially buy in, the more subsequent donations it breeds.

Also, the last 48 hours of crowdfunding campaigns tend to be their busiest.

$24,000 would've been max. $10,000 is minimum. Not looking good for any of us actually paying anything unless the thing of which Christopher Walker speaks takes hold.

I know the max is 24k...just trying to get cash out of him!

He never mentioned the minimum...just the rest!

I don't have much extra moolah, but I did send it out to quite a few people so hopefully that'll get a little bit more added.

Uh...

The rest to $10,000, which I mistakenly thought was the goal...

To be fair, if I'd shot for the minimum, the goal would've been $100.

The fun we could have with tryouts for these seats...

You and I could never be the judges. They would end up calling the section The North Texas Nice Tatas.
