The CougarKing Comes to GMG Thread (With Guest Star GreenMeaner)

We'll have to wait and find out. I don't know if you've seen our defense play but they are pretty stout this year, especially in the secondary. We have a rs frosh cornerback Zac Whitfield who is a converted running back and has been burned a few times but has also made some spectacular plays that few could make. Other than those few times our secondary has at least kept everything in front of them, so this should make for a good matchup.

Also, I like Dewayne Peace as a receiver and I played against Andrew Rodriguez a few times in high school and thought he'd work out well in Houston. I saw he had about 80 yards the first game but nothing since. Did he get hurt or did he just get passed on the depth chart?

Rodriguez is injured, he was going to play in the Rice game but re-injured himself at practice. He is questionable for ths Saturday.

You lost your coach to TAM, you hired a guy willing to blame his staff (great lesson on accountability), you cant beat an FBS start up, and all you are left with is empty bravado on an opponent's web site.

In a way, I feel sorry for you guys.

Our coaches are always lured away by Big 12 and SEC schools which shows us the quality of our staff. Even though USM beat us, we still got the better bowl game AND they were flat out rejected by the Big East. They haven't won a game yet this season and are dealing with their own problems right now. As far as conferences go, until the Big XII comes calling, Us, Boise, Louisville, Cincinnati, UCF, Rutgers and USF will be staying put.

No Rutgers isn't an attendance killer, not only are they ranked and undefeated, but our fans attend any game at The Rob. Regardless of the opponent.

Also, next year's Big East is the stupidest conference imaginable. Like, it promotes the image that US students do not understand geography. How the hell does one justify San Diego State of freaking California being in the Big EAST. The movie "Idiocracy" is fast upon us.

Probably because you had been good the previous years and had a 5-3 record that year before losing your final two homes games to fall to 5-5. Learn something about your own team. If you guys had a coach go 6-37, you wouldn't get 10k to show up.

Dude, I'm agreeing with you. I completely agree that the 12-10 thing between those two conferences is pretty dumb, but in my opinion not as glaringly heinous as the geographic mis-association of the nBE.
