meangreener, they probably all were from Keller/N Fort Worth.

No, that's Houston, actually. Never met anyone in Keller who went to SMU. Nice try. People in DFW who aren't raking in millions don't go to SMU. They go to TCU, Rice or Baylor. Delusional if y'all really think there isn't a higher proportion of douchebags on SMU's campus. No respect for that school whatsoever and try to avoid them at all costs, because there aren't many. SMU is like SFA for rich people.

If we're talking about their great MBA program, that's one thing. But the school itself. No.

I'm not trying to push any rivalry. I could care less about the old NTSU team getting beat handily by SMU. Anyway, I just genuinely do not like SMU. I didn't even realize SMU was located in Dallas when I lived in Keller. It's irrelevant, and serves the same purpose as an online MBA graduate school...(something we also happen to be very good at.)

I don't like what SMU stands for, don't like the people who attend it, I don't like the delusions of its students or alumni, and don't think SMU is worth arguing over. Why don't we argue over ACU? Same difference. SMU is a school famous for cheating, ruining college athletics, and terrible people. Oh, and the term "Boulevarding."

Missed my point.

Is your point that I have equal disdain for both things?

Can't deny that.

As some one that has went to both SMU and NT, I find the ignorance on both sides almost amazing. Also having worked with, for, and managing many SMU graduates; they are neither more or less likely to be good performers than those from NT. If anything there is even less of them than NT grads that give a hoot about college sports.

They fear us because of what we could and should become, a large public university in their backyard finally with a successful athletic program that wakes up the Metroplex and our huge alumni base. They fear that we will eventually overshadow them.

And I think what took place on New Years Day at the historic Cotton Bowl stadium with one Jolly Green Awakened Giant seems to have gotten the attention of some across the Lone Star State who really expected this Jolly Green Giant to just keep on sleeping.

Some from other Texas intercollegiate outposts come over here to GMG.com to post what some could interpret from those oft' visiting posters seemed frustrations (along with usually empty bragging points) that North Texas has (or will soon) pass their school due to what they witnessed firsthand via ESPNU with that humongous UNT fan support on New Years Day along with..................a Mean Green bowl win.

Last I checked, not all Texas based schools who went bowling actually got bowl wins. In fact, some schools based here in the Lone Star State had no bowl games to go to at all due to being ineligible or not enough wins.

I think we'd all like to see North Texas go back to the HOD Bowl game but next time around have a Big 10 or Big 12 opponent with all their own traveling fans.........now the turnstiles count for that kind of matchup could become very interesting.

Come on, man!

This does nothing to further the agenda!
