Seat Selection Time Slots Are Out!

In Florida, so don't expect my seat assignments to come until tomorrow at the earliest.

Then decide if it's worth it to fly in for my time slot to go and pick my seats.

All worth it come Sept 10th!

Who received seat selection time slots after 5 pm on week days, or on a weekend day?

The second option is for a designated proxy.

So, you can pick your friends, you can pick your seat, or you can pick your friends seat (or in your case your friend can pick your seat).

Just don't smell your or your friend's fingers when your done.

it needs to be signed for or picked up at the post office. i had a slip in my mailbox that they attempted to deliver, but couldn't due to no one being home. off to the post office today.

Strange, ours came in the mail. It came yesterday. Not sure what day it is during the week but our selection is at 2:55pm. Thankfully I work from home so I will be going and hubby will just have to deal with what I pick. lol

Mine originally said 4:20AM.....WOW...that's some hard working folks if they are going to be up there at 4:20AM! I called to confirm that and found that they meant 4:20PM! You had to figure, right? I would have had some fun getting there that early...I hope the coffee would be ready. Anyway, we will have to assign a proxy as we will be out of town at the time of our seat selection assignment. Bummer, but I am sure folks will take care of us...there really is not a bad seat in that place as I can tell from this point in the process.

can't decide if i want to just use the Redeliver option and wait a few days or take time out of lunch to drive around the corner and get it..... always a risk of a 20-30 minute wait in that place and I hate standing in line next to weirdo's sending packages when it isn't christmas time.

why require it to be signed for? this makes it very difficult for me to pick up.

I cannot believe these were sent certified mail when none of us will be home to sign for them. What a waste. Our actual season tickets aren't even sent via certified mail.

OK, I really wasn't going to post anything about the "certified mail" delivery, but it was known from the beginning that it would be certified mail. Why? Well, there is a very good reason for that...several really if you stop and think about it a bit...one, it is important that the UNT staff know exactly who has and who has not received their selection time notice. Also, it is important that people be assured their notice will get to them in a timely manner. Seat selections are being done based on priority points, and as such, it would be a disaster if folks started calling saying, hey, I never got my letter or when are the letters coming, I have not got mine...all the while their indicated selection time had passed and an athletic dept. staffer had to pick seats for them based on no prior information as to where the party would like their seats, or worse, they were simply moved to the end of the line as they "missed" their allotted time. WOW, can you just imagine the complaining and troubles that would cause. Yes, it can be a bit challenging to be home at the time the mail is delivered (in fact my wife saw our mail carrier on the street and had to chase her down yesterday for several miles before she could get a chance to give her our notice and sign for the letter). I definitely get the possible small inconvenience, but the alternative is just too much worse. I can just see the posting here about getting a bad seat because no letter came or it was late, etc., etc. The use of certified mail, while I, too, hate the stuff, is a very logical way to do this...now everyone has a record of who did and who did not receive their selection time letters. Follow-ups can be made if needed and the vast majority of folks will be set at their assigned time. And, yes, some of us will have to make other arrangements due to the time we were assigned.

This isn't an easy process and one that must be done as fairly as possible and as orderly as possible. This will be the only time this sort of thing will have to be done for the new stadium. Next year it will be so much easier on everyone to simply renew tickets with seats already known.

Question for anyone.. i'm new to the Mean Green world.. my letter has my Mean Green rank i'm going to guess this number is overall and not what number pick I have for my seats? Thanks for any insight.

I was excited to go to the Post Office this morning (W) to get my letter. They brought out a bunch of Mean Green and I saw lots of names I knew. But mine wasn't among them. When I turned around, I saw a Mean Green friend and she said she was there for her letter. Then, 5 or 6 other people in line chimed in that they too wee there for their seat letter. I felt like I was in a great fun gang of NT friends.

This method probably isn't perfect, but the Post Office did call me and they found my letter. Yippee.

Maybe not the best solution but I called the post office and they told me if I sign the form and return it to the mailbox they are then authorized to leave the letter in the mail without a signature (because they already have it). This is my only option.
