Could Rice turn down Liberity for the HOD?

No one wants to live what LaTech went through.

Don't think they would announce the invite without knowing there was an acceptance.

How did SMU not keep us out with all their political connections...and money...and fake attendance counters....and their conference that had nothing to do with the bowl game itself?

There have already been several acceptances without announcements being made.

I am hoping that everything can stay HUSHED and HoD make a BIG huge deal out of who they announce on ESPN.

If we REALLY go to the HOD, then losing to UTSA (as some of you have pointed out) could be a blessing in disguise. The local press coverage, value to recruiting, the New Years Eve party etc. could be a real boon to the Mean Green Nation and great publicity for the school itself.

Rice was involved in one of the most famous plays in bowl history. Alabama's Tommy Lewis came off the bench to tackle Dicky Maegle in theCotton Bowl..I was watching on TV and thought where did that guy from. He ran wild against Alabama tha day.

Not a Blessing-in-Disguise as much as a Nice Consolation Prize

This.

No doubt in my mind we would have taken Marshall apart today. Conference Championships mean a lot.
