I was on a cruise last night and I visited the onboard sports bar trying to find an update on the game. Unfortunately, the TV's were showing other NCAA games. Then ESPN cut in with a highlight of this hit and the entire bar took notice and they all said something like "wow" or "that guy got killed". I was proud. :)

Coming into the season, I was expecting Trice to be our "hit man" in the secondary. So far my assessment of Trice is....somewhat disappointing. Now, Mr. Jackson is setting the pace for how DB's should be hitting.

He needs to wrap up rather than just trying to knock their legs out from under themselves.

Top 5 feelings in football: the moment for a blitzing LB/DB when you realize you're not being picked up.

That was badass! Welcome to the new Craig Jones/Jonas Buckles style DB.

I'd just like to chime in that I loved Harry's late night posts last night. You were in rare form, and I loved it!

I've got a strong Kool aid buzz but just looking at the numbers the secondary played exceptionally well yesterday. It just looks we're better as a whole this year with 4 new players this year, that doesn't happen often. I was weary of Whitfield coming in to this game to be honest, I hold Mac's word in high regard but I was still worried Whitfield would have his confidence shaken against such high caliber players. I wasn't concerned with Whit getting beat deep but more so how he would do tackling in the open field. Landry is a 5* WR and he took him down a couple times, I think we have a player for the future here. Jackson obviously looked good too, all of these things are encouraging because we still have Warner who's a sophomore and if these guys can hold up we can redshirt him which I think is the best option at this point because we would get Warner/Whitfield for the first 3 years of CUSA.

Aside from the secondary play I really liked what I saw out of the young guys on defense. Polk(FR) Akunne (SO) Mason (SO) were all impressive and on one kickoff I saw Mike Marshall 10 yards ahead of every other mean green player. That kid has some speed I believe we're going to have a solid defense we can be proud of these next few years with so many young guys getting reps.

That was an incredible hit. For the rest of this year, we should rate hard hits on the Hilbert Scale.

I think they should start rating earthquakes on the Hilbert Scale.

This hit was #9 on sportcenters top ten today by the way. It might have been sportscenter or college football live not sure.

Sportscenter is talking about LSU with Todd McShay right now and they kept showing the Hilbert Jackson highlight.

I saw that as well. They also posted their own video of it. You have some butt-hurt LSU fans not liking it being shown and some that say the hit was illegal lol.

Illegal? Hilbert put his helmet in the QB's chest. You can't get any more legal than that.

Ashton Kutcher...hehe. I thought the same thing. I was at my fantasy draft and I said, "Hey, why is Ashton Kutcher the QB for LSU?"
