That lack of a TO cost 4 points (as did the underthrow from Fine to Bussey).

The running game is awful (as SL noted) and I don’t understand two runs at the goal line.

Counting Fine's sacks we have 19 yards rushing.  SMU has -3.

I am not complaining about a single thing, you guys. 20-0 at halftime.... and i'm pretty sure Seth just got Balboni pregnant. #GMG

ya...lots of hindsight expertise. team thought they had proper personnel on the field and tried to punch it in quickly. didn't work. could've called a time out and gone and turned it over on the next play. saying it definitively cost points is silly.

The big difference is 3rd downs.  SMU is 1 for 6.  We're 6 for 11.

Just like last year...except we were the ones who couldn't get off the field and they seemed to convert every 3rd down.

Hippie.

i demand perfection!

In all seriousness, I do think the entire goal line sequence was mishandled. I didn’t want SMUt to have anything positive to cling to.

I get the call...I didn't like it and it didn't work. I'll take hoping they use it as a learning opportunity moving forward

South Dakota is beating Kansas St at the half 24 to 12. 😨

The lesson - as always - don't schedule top 10 FCS teams for your opener.

However, if you are UTEP, you should not score any FCS in the top 30 either, as they are down to NAU at the half also.

I'm taking solace in knowing that in a few years I'll hire Ben Hicks to mow my lawn.

Wasn’t that Zach Orr in the background during the interview with the student?

any word on official attendance?

Not yet.  Doesn't look like it'll pass the Houston game but it does look like #2 for attendance at Apogee.

UNT marches down the field out of halftime and scores a TD.

27-0 with 11:17 in the third
